I visited this restaurant a few years ago with my family and we had some wonderful meals so having returned to Alpe d'Huez this year we decided to eat there again. What a mistake! I think the ownership has changed but certainly not for the better! The food was average to say the least and the service poor. We will... More

This little place serves some of the best Crepes around, and is not too pricey. The fondue is great too, and large servings. Despite what people comment here, it is actually really easy to find, as it is opposite the Tourist office, just above the "underpass", so you can either skii right to it or catch the quirky "cage system"... Having not been for a couple of years (we were at the opposite end of the Village last year) we found the food not up to previous standards and three of our group of seven had to return their meal to be reheated as it was cold in the middle - clearly a sign it had come from the freezer... More

Great food and French atmosphere. Cosy and friendly. Not easily seen since it is tucked to the side of the Tourist Office 'run'. Well worth finding.

The French Texans looking for a Crepe elected to dine at the Ble Noir. The restaurant is quite difficult to find so don't hesitate to call before hand to get directions to it! Once you are there, you will be welcomed by a friendly staff. Because the restaurant is very small (around 8 tables, reservations is recommended during the busy... More

On a miserable day outside this is just the place to come for a lunch. the restaurant can be accessed from the slopes or the town, service was friendly and quick and the prices reasonable.
