We had a lovely 5 course meal on the terrace overlooking the lake. The starters were excellent as were the desserts. To my liking the main course lacked a bit of finesse but it may have been simply the wrong choice. Service was very pleasant and professional. We will definitively go back.

My husband booked the Rectiligne for lunch on my birthday - what a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a very modern decor with views from every table onto the lake. The service was first class and the food was excellent. It was an expensive lunch, but worth it for a special occasion and somewhere I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Had an excellent experience at Le Rectiligne today. Weather helped by allowing a terras table with views of the lakeside and jogging and otherwise active people while dusk slowly started to set in. The menus all looked promising but we went for the €70 five course one with wine supplement. All dishes were spot on and the wine selection daring... More

Went to the Rectiligne for my wife's birthday with my three daughters. Wasn't quite sure what to expect. We reserved a lovely table with a view on the lake. Chose the Euros 70 menu.My wife changed one dish without a fuss. The foie gras was very good and a sizeable portion.Loved the scallops with mushrooms. Fish was just right and again... More

We live across the border but dined here with some friends on a Sat eve. 3 of us chose the 5 course, gastronomique menu with wine pairings and one ate a la carte. Regardless of the menu, the food was well prepared, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The duck was extremely good and the veal was superb. The wine... More

Everything here was superb; the service, suggested wine pairings and most importantly the food. We chose one of the set menus and everything was fantastic. Both the food flavor and presentation was excellent. It would be great for a romantic dinner but we enjoyed it in the good company of friends and it was perfect for this too.

Decoration: ok, depends on each taste.Asked for modification in menu, which was accepted, we asked for ladies to replace two lamb fillets with st jaques, for big surprise the two lamb fillets were replaced by two st jaques on each plate (total of 4 st jaques for two people), I say TWO little pieces for principal course. We demanded a... More

Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Loved the fois-gras and the veggiy ravioli...millefeuille of goat cheese served as cheese but almost a dessert. Very good selection and combination of wines (discovered a very interesting wine from Vandee). Astonoshing Mises en bouche and miniardise. Will definitely go back.

This is truly a designer restaurant from décor, food and right down to cutlery. The food was presented in visually exciting combinations. Our starter consisted of two foie gras slices positioned vertically between three wafers. My main dish was shredded beef with an oval foie gras slice placed in the middle. After a three-course meal, we left with a good... More

I have been there 3 times and always been impressed by the mix that has been achieved in that place. Being located in a dead end street by the lake, it is obviously very quiet, no traffic around ! The chef offers you excellent traditional french cuisine but adds (should you wish it) a touch of modern art by including... More
