Enjoyed a lovely outdoor table set in a rose garden. The food was very good (all 3 courses) and incredibly reasonably priced. The staff worked most diligently to make the evening most pleasant despite an unexpected sudden thunderstorm. Would definitely come back on my next...visit.More

In the middle of the medieval city, we had a fantastic lunch. We choose to have our meal outside and we enjoyed each minute. The garden is like a pearl in its case, the medieval village. The beffroy dominating us, while we were dominating the...valley. Food and wine were awesome ant the service really top. Two waiters really caring of us. I really enjoyed the desert, the best I had during my stay in France. If the "Nougat glacé" is available, go for it, definitly.More

In the fascinating town of Vaison la Romaine, this restaurant has a wonderful view over the valley and is particularly lovely at sunset. With unbooked tables right next to the terrace wall, it was therefore a mystery to me why the waitress tried to seat...us under a gloomy tree, and it took some exertion on my part to get moved. We had some very nice meals in our three day stay in Vaison, but unfortunately this wasn't one of them. The tropic-inspired salmon starter had somehow been deprived of any vibrancy, and the other starters were pretty bland too. When the only thing I can smell on a 'slow braised' lamb main course is a surfeit of white pepper things aren't looking good, and my concerns were realised with a fatty piece of poor lamb. There is nothing wrong with a cheap cut of meat if it is really slowly cooked in a well balanced sauce but this wasn't. So - needs to try harder to match the food with the view...More

Absolutely terrible service. So disappointing. Ok food, forgetful waitress, no wine, wrong order, bad.

This seasonal restaurant has a very nice dining room with courtyard view. The 3 course 32 euro, meal choices were very flavorful and tastefully presented. The staff friendly and helpful. Closed Wednesday.

A good value and excellent food. The usual 3 course menus with 3 choices. It was full by the time we left and many seemed to be locals. Efficient and friendly English speaking staff.

We were here for lunch. We chose all different dishes from the menu and all were delicious. All food is absolutely fresh and home made!

The garden is beautiful and the view cannot be beat! We loved our food (duck and steak). The service was a little disorganized, but did not dampen our enjoyment.

We were on half board and not expecting much at a Hostellerie, so we were pleasantly suprised by the deft hand of the chef. My gazpacho was excellent although I do usually like it with a bit more spice. The salmon rillet was excellent as...was my duck in a honey glaze. Cooked perfectly as was my wife's beef served with delicately browned lyonnaise potatos.More

-Location: 4/5 (in the old town, beautiful panorama) -Menu: 4/5 (well prepared and presented dishes) -Service: 3/5 (friendly, but too slow and disorganised) -Price quality: 3/5 (good price quality ratio) We had foie gras with asperges as appetiser, and a maigret de canard with polenta...and honey as second dish. Finally, I got a crème brûlée. Despite the fact portions where quite small (do not come here if you are hungry ;)), everything was tasty and well presented. Low light: when we came I strong wind was blowingMore
