Ate a Saturday lunch here. I went for the 29 euro menu, gratin of mussels, fillets of red mullet with basil, ile flottante. All very good, well served at a good pace by friendly and attentive waiters. This is an old-fashioned country-style restaurant in a town where many of the others have modernised, so it feels slightly anachronistic, though pleasantly... More

On our way from Nice to Marseille we stopped in Bandol. Had lunch at this restaurant mainly because the skies opened up and this was the closest place to seek shelter. The table was comfortable and the service was fine. My wife ordered the chicken salad which she enjoyed very much, I ordered the steak hache, I guess I should... More

My wife and I decided to eat at this restaurant on the last night of our stay in Bandol. Having looked at the information boards outside the restaurant and the menu we decided to eat from their 3 course menu at €22. My wife ordered a glass of wine and a bottle appeared. We had our first and second courses... More

Visited Bandol, one of our favourite French resorts, for 2 weeks in February. We decided to eat out on valetines day but at lunchtime rather than evening. Decide to go back to this restaurant as we have always enjoyed the meal. My wife had paella and I chose poelee of squid, both from the menu du jour. Thoroughly enjoyed them.... More

Have been twice in the last 10 days, first for lunch and then for dinner. My wife had fish on both visits from the menu du jour and enjoyed both meals. I had couscous royale for lunch and fried chicken for dinner. We had desserts on both occasions which were very nice. The service was friendly, courteous and relaxed. We... More

The waiter forgot our order and came back after 15 minutes to ask us what we had ordered. We enquired whether the restaurant had wi-fi access. The waiter said he would make enquiries about the password and never came back. After an hour it became apparent that there was no wi-fi in the restaurant. One would have thought that we... More

Had Moules and goats cheese and bread for lunch. The restaurant was full of locals and we had a great meal. Not a lot of English spoken but between us we communicated well enough.

I asked the Waiter is the Calamari frozen? No was the reply, well if not they were very overcooked, Michelin tyres would have been proud. On seeing the left dinner the waiter replied "Well calanari sometimes comes up like that"

Great value, no fuss, very typically French and packed with French diners. My partner and I went for the 3 course set menus at €24 and €34 simply because I was on a mission to have a great Soupe de Poisson, otherwise you could order 2 courses for €12.. Either way it's all excellent value. The service is very relaxed... More
