Stopped in Rochefort on Bank Holiday so not many places open but got here early for dinner and on second attempt reserved table outside. Drinks service a bit hit and miss. Hugely busy but meal service was good. Enjoyed mixed oysters and prawns starter then bavette and sabre fish mains with choc mousse and a French rice pudding to follow.... More

CapNell was recommended to us by our hotel as it was one of the few good restaurants open on a Monday evening Stylish and modern, its situation overlooking the inner Harbour was delightful. The staff were welcoming and the smiling servers were efficient and attentive. We chose the 22,90€ menu which included smoked mackerel with poached egg on a bed... More

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by our hosts at Le Villa de Demoiselles. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it made an excellent start to our Golden Wedding celebrations in France. The staff were friend,y and attentive and the food was delicious. We would endorse our hosts recommendation and encourage you to eat here when in Rochefort.

Party of 8 men. Good restaurant right by the yacht port. Tables inside and out. Well price, wide menu. Local lamb with mashed potato was excellent, as were the ousts, prawns and burgers. New summer menu introduced when we were there with the welcome addition of a burger. Wine list ok, not broad, but functional. Very near the Hotel Corderie... More

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my 60th birthday at and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food and drink were excellent and we had a very enjoyable evening. We would certainly visit if we were in Rochefort again. Highly recommended.

Cap Nell is next to our hotel la Corderie. The menu was printed simply, but held a great surprise. I ordered Asiette Phare (lighthouse platter i think). My wife got a prix fixe surf and turf. The platter had a large selection of what simply is everything. But the surprising discovery is that it was a large pile of everything.... More

We tried Les Longitudes but it was closed, unfortunately, so this was the next open place we found. Very pleasant location overlooking the sail boats. The kids and missus took full advantage of the blankets on offer to keep the chill out after a hot day on the beach. No kids menu but I wouldn't mark down for that. They... More

Great setting by harbour and good value food. Good seafood and oysters. Some interesting mains but sadly let down by run of the mill desserts. Very friendly staff and friendly the children old and young there unlike recent postings Definitely worth a try for the view if nothing else. None of the other listings come close for the voew

We decided to stay inside because this early July evening was rather chilly. The restaurant has a bistro style and the the atmosphere is cosy maritime without being pretentious. A very pleasant female waiter, who obviously had too many tables to take care of, but the food arrived after a while. The sword fish was very good, and the mullet... More

We went to this restaurant today with our 23 month old son and the only kind thing I can say about this place is that one lady gave us a booster seat for him. The staff sat us at the worst table and then simply ignored our presence, serving others who arrived after us. No drinks, no food, no courtesy.... More
