Very well kept, small pizzeria / restaurant filled with locals. Food was very good value for money, both pizzas were excellent and the menu du jour very good too. Service was good and we would definitely go back if in the area.

One of our favourites in Rochefort, good menu, good food and the waiting staff are lovely and friendly.

As usually in France, all restaurants were opening at 7:00. We were just first clients, hungry, as for polish family we are eating earlier :) We were first guests, without reservation of course and we entered the restarant. The owner (?) warmly welcomed us and as were were in 9 people, she quickly organised enough space to seat at 1... More

The food was well cooked and of reasonable quality and portions - we did not have pizza so cannot comment on the quality of those. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was on the slow side, but a coach party of about twenty arrived not longer after we sat down, which no doubt had an effect on the kitchen... More

It had been some time since our previous visit. Then, we were impressed by the quality of food, service, etc. This time it everything but the wine was awful. The service was slow and condescending. The food was variable: two of the three pizzas were burned. The two pasta dishes were scalding. But the worst was finding two hairs in... More

Well Italian makes a change from the French. La Scala has a large sensibly-priced menu from pizzas to alternative Italian food. In good weather there are outside tables on the pavement.

We stumbled across this restaurant on a day trip to rochefort & it happened to be the birthday of one of our party. It was full of locals having lunch - a good sign. Service was fantastic friendly considering we had 4 kids with us. 3 of the adults had the 3 course lunch menu for 18 euros and it... More

A few years ago we went to La Sicillia and had a good lunch, this time we were disappointed by the food. Now that I read that the owner and the cook changed I understand the difference. The pizza base was more like a biscuit and the topping was so heavy on cheese that a little lake of molten fat... More

La Sicilia has been under new management since April 2012. The name's the same, furniture's the same, menu's mainly the same. New staff out front and in the kitchen. Our (lone) waitress was excellent; the owner/manager (?) a bit too over-keen on putting froward both himself and his knowledge of English. The wine-list and wines (we had Haut-Poitu Sauvignon and... I travel a lot. I am not a very big fan of French food. (I like meat well cooked ) The pizza here is very nice thin base not too heavy. Nice few Italian choices on menu. If you are staying close buy I would recommend La Sicilia. I also I brought 2 friends I heard no complaints . It... More
