We found this wonderful restaurant in St Quentin serving Sunday lunch to their local clientele. We sat outside and ate from the 27 Euro menu. Everything was home prepared spicy tomato gazpacho with tuilles of Parmesan, followed by perfectly prepared duck in peach for me and warm salad pêcheur for my wife, then freshly baked chocolate fondue. Everything is served... More

We were travelling through on a Sunday and most places were shut and we chanced upon this place. Turned out to be lovely. We sat outside and had a lovely salad each. Proprietor was excellent.

This town was not on our original stopover list so we did little research. There is a lot of choice but we went off the main square for something more peaceful. A few people were waiting for it to open. We were the only Brits. It's a comfortable welcoming restaurant with a good menu. Coeliacs no problem. Good wine, good... More

We chose the 3 course menu at 27 Euros with a limited choice but excellent freshly prepared dishes, such as fresh asparagus wrapped in Serrano ham with Hollandaise sauce followed by lambs kidneys and mushrooms in a lovely red wine sauce and slices of magret of duck nicely pink. Pudding of warm chocolate fandant with a scoop of vanilla ice... More

Friends we were travelling with found this restaurant on Trip Advisor so glad they did. We had had a very disappointing meal in a restaurant the night before and we were in for a wonderful evening, great hospitality and really fabulous food beautifully presented. The restaurant is quirky, tastefully decorated and has a wonderful atmosphere. If I lived closely I... More

We just managed to get a table in this small restaurant. Service was caring if not fast, and the food was good. Oeufs en cocotte with foie gras was delicious, though the filet mignon wasn't special. Chips were good, and walnut oil dressing on the salad was perfectly delicious. A decent choice of reasonably priced wine, and it all added... More

We booked le troubadour having read the good reviews on Trip advisor. When we arrived at 19.45 the place was empty and the Chef, Owner and waiter were sitting outside smoking. Being Non smokers this did not impress us coupled with the fact this restaurant is not very impressive From the outside and is in a very run down part of... More

We choose Le Troubadour based on its strong TA reviews, but I have to say we were more than disappointed. It wasn’t a disaster, but we expected much more. The location is good, towards the top of the town centre across the square from the impressive court building. Welcome was a little cold, is it really too much for waitress... More

Stopped in St-Quentin for an overnighter on way back from ski-trip and we were recommended this restaurant. We ordered four different meals and there was much passing of forks across the table as we all tasted each other's. Superb French food, well presented in a relaxed atmosphere. I felt a bit underdressed in jeans and a jumper but no one... More

Welll, it's hard to think of something fresh to say about a top restaurant with already so many super reviews...but, hey! You walk in here and you know it's something special. The atmosphere begs you to differ. You cannot. My wife started with the cassoulet of mussels and scallops, (noix de St. Jacques), what a treat, and the sauce! I... More
