Had been recommended to try here so 3 couples on a cycling trip went for Sunday lunch before getting the ferry back. Upmarket place and would be really good for a special occasion Were welcomed although we had cycling stuff Great choice and the food was wonderful - 3 courses became 6 after amuse bouches etc. Service was attentive and... This is a superb place by the vieux port in Calais. Expect to pay from about €40 each for a superb meal. The lunchtime €22 menu offers a really good choice of innovative classics, or if you really want to splash out, there are other more expensive menus to choose from. On the Monday we visited the place was heaving... More

This restaurant is in a rather grim part of Calais by the port but don't let this put you off, it's fantastic! Fish and meat equally good. The 32 euro menu has two amuse bouche and a pre dessert as well as the three courses on the menu and all delicious. Staff are helpful and informative. The wine list is... More

When my partner and I booked a day trip to Calais we were expecting hypermarkets and a small selection of wine and beer. I searched for seafood restaurants before we left and found Le Grand Bleu, so when we went we decided to go as it had good reviews. I can see why, the food and service was brilliant and... More

It is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in. Always different, but always very good. As it is a day trip to Calais For us I always book in advance so as to ensure we get a table. The menu is in French but the owner translates for us. A good wine list with some reasonable priced that... More

Was a little disappointed as from what I'd read about this chef and his restaurant I was expecting a rising star, with fresh innovative food and youthful flair. I hate to give anything other than a glowing review, but I could not in all clear conscience do that in this case. The welcome was warm and the environment pleasant. The... More

The restaurant has been reopened for less than a month with the owner/manager very much in charge. It was very busy for a Thursday lunch and the food and service quality tells you why.

Ranked as one of the best restaurants in Calais and it easy to see why. The waitresses, one of which is the owner are able to assist with reading the menu as it is all in French The food is beautifully presented and all cooked by the owners husband to a high standard. The ambiance is very welcoming and even... More

We had booked in advance knowing that we were going to be in Calais but never in this area before. It was a good choice! Two charming waitresses welcomed us, and then patiently explained in competent English what the various dishes were. One could choose from one of three set menus or a wider range at somewhat higher prices..All were... More

Fantastic food in a nice atmosphere. We plumped for the most expensive set menu at 31 Euros and were not disappointed with any of our choices. Beautiful food well presented by courteous and helpful staff. Only one problem, they were closed for holidays on our return journey! We will definitely be back for more.
