We ate here in summer time, but even then we noticed the food was made with care. The choices were many. Even pizza was ok. Good choice for a nice dinner.

Attracted by its nice position, we were very disappointed by the food. Mussels were featured, but turned out to be small, shrivelled affairs which had obviously been frozen. Wines were expensive but poor quality. My wife and I both had bad stomachs for 12 hours after eating there.

Walking down from Le Grand Hotel in the rain this was the first restaurant I came to. The name is indeed curious and the waitress said it was named after the battle. But she could not explain the spelling and said I should ask the "patron" but he did not appear! Service was quite satisfactory, seating comfortable but I did... More

This is a lovely family-run restaurant 3 minutes from the sea front and looking over the central park area and Grand Hotel. The food is simple but delicious. I recommend the 'Moules Hastings'. The service is what really makes this a delightful experience though, we have been several times and we are always made incredibly welcome and never left feeling... More

After a lovely stroll in the beautiful town of cabourg we stumbled upon this little gem. Beautiful food and helpful staff with good English. Great wine list and cocktails to die for!!

Limited choices to eat in Cabourg off-season, but Hastings was open throughout. English is limited with some of the staff, but menus are available in English. Food was good – decent portions and good taste. The presentation may not be the same as the Grand Hotel across the street but the prices are a lot better. They seemed to be... More

The food was well cooked although I was to have better beef elsewhere however, my wife's Haddock dish was superb, deserts were delicious. However, my biggest problem was with the service which was unfriendly and at times down right rude.

Le Hastings was a great find. After a day touring around Normandy the fact that it was close to our hotel was a draw. We found the food excellent. both the cod and the scallops were delicious. The surprise of the evening was the goat cheese salad, it was warm and oh so good. Would not hesitate to recommend Le... More

We chose this restaurant at the end of our three week touring holiday in France because it offerred what appeared to be an ideal mix of dishes - Pizzas for the kids and "Grown Up" fish and meat dishes for the adults and appeared to be really busy on the previous night. We can honestly say that the food that... More

I expected some french taste cuisine, asked for 'canard' but i got a very small piece of almost burned meat with some sauce over it. No vegetables at all, although on the menu it was mentioned that vegatables are included. Some handfull portion of french fries +4 eur. At the end i just mentioned it to the waiter, then he... More
