After a morning in the Wellington Quarries, and a cold morning at that, we were ready for some lunch, and, since I own a website dedicated to French food (www.lovefrenchfood.com), this could not be missed. Because we made the effort and spoke French, we were welcomed - so many visitors overlook this courtesy. I perched myself, back to the wall,... More

Unfortunately, this restaurant didn't match our expectations. Despite reserving a table, we were sat next to the kitchen, and everyone knows the inconvenience of hearing plates crashing, etc. Waiters were unbelievably rude, and despite the food was nice, not worth it. Such a pity because the place is nice...

Recommended to us by our Chambre d'Hote owner and definitely a great start to our holiday, Le Petit Rat Porteur offers a good menu, perfectly hilled local beer, nice wines and excellent service. Spoilt for choice but when in Arras eat the local speciality, andouillettes! Mind you that covers many French gastronomic towns and cities! An excellent meal right in... More

Among the enormous number of eating places around the two great squares in Arras, this one (right between the two) looked best to us, and we weren't disappointed. The food was very good in an unpretentious way (the steak with mushroms even excellent). Wine fine, too. The single waiter did his work efficiently and with a smile. Among the guests... More

This was recommended by our B and B owner too. Well placed between the 2 main squares and busy with locals and visitors. The menu doesn't really do justice to the food that was produced . We had a fish dish and a pork dish - both well cooked and served with chips/rice and salad and veg. Very reasonably priced... More

Recommended by our B & B who booked a table for us as it was a Saturday night and could be busy. Small restaurant off the medieval sqaure , warmly welcomed by the staff on arrival and directed to our table. The restaurant had a few tables upstairs and more downstairs in a cellar. Very busy and within a few... More

Lovely restaurant with good food and service. We were served by a young man who was literally doing everything but the cooking. Even under this pressure his service was with a smile. We very much enjoyed our visit.

A relatively simple place with a pretty standard menu, although with a few regional specialities. Reasonably priced menus available, especially - as is common - for lunch. Nice indoor area (also a space in the cellar which we didn't see) and outside seating also available, even if the location along the street isn't as nice as right on one of... More

After spending a few days at a very wet musical festival (Main Square) we decided to skip the festival food and try our luck in Arras town. We visited a local beer store and the owner recommended this restaurant for lunch. The waiter was very friendly and spoke English. He described all the dishes and after ordering they arrived promptly.... More
