This restaurant was recommanded to us during our stay at La Villa de Mazamet and it was a nice surprise. Really good value for money! We had the three course lunch menu and really liked it. The mozzarella/tomato millefeuille, tajine with vegetables and pineapple carpaccio...were fresh and tasty.More

A family visit to Mazamet in the winter months this year, seeing the region with snow capped peaks was wonderful and visiting places like Carcassonne without the crowds. We booked a table at Aux 4 Vents for the Friday night and, as on a previous...visit, was excellent. The three course menu is great value for money. Freshly prepared, tasty and served with a smile by the husband & wife owners. It’s great to support small independent restaurants like Aux 4 Vents and if your travels bring you to Mazamet add this to your list. (The Restaurant only opens one evening, Friday, each week as well as for lunch Mon-Friday plus Sunday)More

This was our first time at aux 4 vents and wow what an experience! We were a family group of 13 and just about filled the entire restaurant but still had great service and delicious food. We had asked the owner to suggest a starter,...main and dessert and we loved everything he served. We started with charcuterie which included a baked Camembert as well as the usual meats, then main was a beautiful baked confit duck and potato casserole (like a cottage pie only with duck) and then sweets, very very good. We were very impressed with the quality and service considering our number was so large. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Mazamet.More

An awkward location next to a busy roundabout but the 4 winds had been recommended to us. Very friendly people and the interior is a bit quirky with parasols within - I guess to give the impression of outside dining but on a very warm...evening all they did was hinder air flow and stopped the draught from the ceiling fans reaching us. Service was good and helpful and the menu quite varied. My wife's bresaola was not as we had eaten before but this was down to local taste probably. Mains were ok but nothing special. Local wine was fine.More

We both loved the food here. Had the plate and dessert for 14€ and it was pretty good, by little local restaurant standard. Salad with smoked duck and gizzards was fabulous, my first time with gizzards. K's steak was perfect. Desserts were great. Just what...we were looking for.More

Friendly owners and a varied menu at great prices - around 15€ for two courses. Something for everyone as the menu usually offers at least one vegetarian option which is a rarity in small French towns. A decent list of local wines. Love this place...for a casual lunch, though you must remember to book as it has become very popular with the local business people.More
