Tavern Vinko is family style restaurant situated at the village Konjevrate in the Sibenik countryside. Only 4 km away from National park Krka, entrance Lozovac and 15 km from town of Sibenik in the direction of the town Drnis. What gives us the greatest pleasure is a satisfied customer, who wishes to come back to enjoy our ambiance, to live once again the experience and to taste the traditional food offered by our family style restaurant.

Second visit, still the best veal risotto and suckling pig! Excellent service and only locally sourced ingredients

A few years ago, we visited Konoba Vinko during our vacation and really enjoyed it. Now we were in the Split region again and we went on a road trip to Primosten and Skradin. Of course we wanted to have dinner at Vinko again, to have the divine risotto and roast suckling pig. To make sure that we could have a table and that the suckling pig would be available during these challenging times, I made an advance reservation by email and that was confirmed very quickly. Still the best place for roast suckling pig in my opinion and the veal risotto is the best risotto I ever had. This time we also had some of the roast lamb and that was nice as well. Konoba Vinko really distinguishes itself by using only locally sourced ingredients, excellent waiters and of course great food. We were pleasantly surprised that it is now listed in the Michelin guide with a Bib Gourmand for two consecutive years. Both outdoor and indoor seating (indoor with air conditioning) and plenty of private parking space across the road. And with the restaurant being a bit further away from the main tourist areas, it offers great value and reasonable prices. We had dinner with 5 persons for less than 700 Kuna!

Lunch near Krka

Fantastic lunch! Waiter made the recommendations so we said sure. Had salad and then roast piglet and roast rooster with side of potatoes and veal risotto. The veal risotto is one of the most incredible bites of food on this trip. I almost wanted to order another one!! Suckling pig was excellent. The rooster was also quite good - the wing got a little dry. The salad was great as well - their olive oil was soooo good that we drove 14 km to the source and bought it! Highly recommend!

Excellent suckling pig, great value meal

Fabulous meat restaurant, and very affordable prices! Definitely go for the suckling pig, that's their signature dish. Super tender pork. The lamb was also very good. If you're adventurous, try the piglet ears and trotters - it was unusual but very tasty too. The veal risotto was decent, but average IMO. Still, a good dish to order if you need some carbs. Service was efficient, and friendly. Pricing was where it was very good value for money! Half the price of some of the touristy restaurants in old town Sibenik or Split. There's outdoor seating in their courtyard, although its not a big restaurant, and got full even in shoulder season, so definitely call in advance to book a table. The downside is that there are houseflies - so you'll constantly be swatting them when eating. If that's not your thing, you have to avoid this place unfortunately, or sit indoors.

Preordered veal peka non existing

I reserved a table for 4 people, asking specifically for “veal peka” for a saturday lunch, which you have to order in advance. When we arrrived, the waiter told us we have a reservation, but on his list it didnt say for peka… we were searching for a peka experience near Sibenik to celebrate an occasion and thought this restaurant would be a pricey, but probably a good choice. He said to wait for a moment, which lasted for 10minutes to clear this situation(felt like ages in the horrible summer heat in the terrace). We were hungry, hot and one of us was a pregnant woman and we asked if we could sit inside with AC. The waiter said we could, after one table will be free. Asking when approx.would be that, he answered “well they are having an appetizer at the moment”. He wasn’t making any effort for the customers and not even apologizing for situation. After that we left the place very dissapointed.

Konoba Vinko is a hidden gem of local cuisine

For some years now we regularly stop for lunch at konoba Vinko whenever we travel through this part of Croatia. It is well known for its veal risotto, roasted piglet and roasted hen. I have tried the roasted piglet many times in many restaurants but here it tastes absolutely amazing. Apart from well known meat dishes konoba Vinko offers excellent choice of deserts that we have tried, they all look perfect and taste perfect! Make sure you book a table at least few days ahead as this food paradise is already discovered by many food lovers and there is always a crowd there!

We were visiting Vinko by recommendation. I always very excited to visit a restaurant with Michelin stars. But this time was disappointed. Starter lam liver in tomato sauce was good. But mane course not. Risotto not ready cooked, the rise hard inside and the texture was like glue. The chicken is absolutely dry. The grilled lam is so hard, it's not possible to eat. Then the waiter brought the invoice and asked for tips, I said we were basically disappointed. he said that I have to tell before the invoice. no reaction. I think Michelin star restaurants have to have a high level of food and service. not this restaurant.

Top noch traditional dalmatian cuisine

Whatever meal you choose it will be absolutley great experiance, traditional dalamtian paesano food taken to the top level. Lamb tripe are the best I had, realy sublime gentele texture, while lamb liver in sauce with palenta is awsome. Home made bread only adds to this experiance. Veal rissoto (skradin style) is another thing you shoudl try as it has rich and powerful taste. Raw is tasty and refreshing with interesting nutty taste. Service is great and will help pair your food with great wine list. Looking forward to the next visit.

Excellent food, great service!

We visited Konoba Vinko three times in past two years and every time food and service was excellent! Skradinski risotto is fantastic dish that you just must try, to believe how awesome it is. Every dish is great; whatever you choose you will not regret it. Service is very helpful and nice. Restaurant have nice terrace in the garden. I hope this restaurant will survive this bad season because we will come back next year for new gourmet experience!

All good things must come to an end. We showed up at Konoba Vinko last year with our two boys without a reservation and had an amazing dinner. The prosciutto was among the best we have ever tasted. The risotto was perfect, and the veal chop was thick, juicy, appropriately seasoned, tender, and perfectly grilled — a rarity in Croatia. Too often, meats in this part of Europe are overcooked, overseasoned, and tough. We made a reservation this year and were very excited to go, particularly the kids. This time, though, the prosciutto was average and too salty. The risotto was fine, if a tad dry, but the veal chop was the real travesty. They actually cut it in two, maybe to shorten the cooking time? Either way, it came out tough and chewy at almost a fifty percent higher price than last year's offering. Perhaps the worst of all was the unattended children who kept screaming near our table and other tables nearby. Neither the staff nor the owners did anything to prevent this. I had to take matters into my own hands and ask the large Croatian/Spanish table to stop their kids from ruining everyone's dinner, stop them from screaming and running around, and not treat the restaurant like it was a playground. The children, plus the food, effectively ruined the evening. Would we have returned if the food was ok and there weren't screaming children? Yes. Would we go back now? No. Michelin needs to look into this one more closely next time. We went way out of our way, and it wasn't worth it.

Reservation forgotten?

We, a party a 9 people, drove an hour to have dinner at this place. We had a reservation, yet the waiter claimed they have nothing in their book. The food might be Michelin worthy, but the level of service is extremely unprofessional. We won't be returning.

Fantastic local food.

We stopped on our way back from Šibenik. Our reservation was for 1:30PM and sure enough, our table was waiting. The place was full of guests for Sunday lunch. Our waiter was extremely kind and helpful. We had prosciutto with sheep cheese, olives and pickled onions, "Skradin" veal risotto, rooster with grilled veggies and chocolate / orange cake for dessert. Everything was amazing, big portions for the main dish as well. Prices are reasonable. The place looks nice, clean and well organized.

Coming back - time after time.

We keep coming back to this restaurant and the reason is simple - we always get what we came for. We had almost everything off their menu, however, their veal risotto is something else - always perfect, no matter what time of year is it. Everything is well organised, they respected our table preference during reservation. The premises are very clean, the owner himself makes sure of it. Had the same waiter a couple of times - always helpful and kind.

A delight

Every time we are in the proximity of Šibenik we make an effort and stop to dine at this amazing restaurant. This time we opted for Skradin veal risotto which was perfect, soo creamy and rich in flavour. We continued with roasted suckling pig which was soo yummi and tender with perfect crust along with roasted veggies and potatoes. Red house wine is very good, and dessert an orange cake was nice refreshment for hot summer day. The service is excellent, attentive and polite and prices are fair. My huge recomendation.

Excellent honest food

I have read some bad reviews- 2 this year, regarding piglet.. well I had it today and it was best restaurant served piglet I ever had, and in those parts it is something.. Rooster pate was also top, together with home made pickled onions ( must try). All in all, food and service really in the level. It has taken many calls in order to make reservations, and that is maybe one thing that they can work on: but otherwise, value for money: 170 Eur four persons, home wine.. sweets very very good

We had a very good dinner here (asparagus, rooster liver, lamb, risotto) and the wines were excellent (Primosten wineries). The service was great; kind, to the point and knowing where she was talking about. The rumour of the road is part of the game….
