This "tavern" looked inviting from the street and, based on the menu, exactly what we were after: a cosy restaurant featuring local cuisine. We were not disappointed. The food (choucroute royale [sauerkraut with sausages] and magret de canard aux framboise [duck with raspberry]) was excellent. The server was very pleasant. Prices were reasonable for three course meals (under 60 Euros... More

My first time there, I was not disappointed. Cuisine Asacienne well prepared. This is a popular place, so make reservations if you want to eat around 7 or 8. The price are very good for the quality. Amazing crispy pigs feet appetizer.

We ordered stakes, rare. Excelent meats, great sauces (though I typically prefer my steak "naked"). The foie gras with pistachio," home made", also spot on. Would go again.

Glad we heeded the previous advise to book as at 19.30 we had the last free table, despite being out of ski season. Our waiter and waitress were very helpful and tried some English once we had tried our broken French. The decor is a little 'touristy' but not too brash, and suited the bier-keller style. The food was all... More

It was very pleasant place: great service, menaced by hand steak tartar! Booking in advance is highly recommended.

Great atmosphere and wonderful food. It was quite busy when we went, however the staff was so nice and attentive that the wait for our food flew by. Everyone in our group enjoyed our meals and wine. We will definitely go back if we visit again.

This cosy family-run restaurant in the style of a stube, wooden panelled and semi basement, ski decor even in summer. Friendly, efficient service and delicious rustic traditional food with plenty of choice and some vegetarian dishes. The tarts are like very thin crust pizzas. Bit of a wait when busy but we liked it so much we went twice on... More

Very good famous beef menu with 600 grams of beef for two persons. But lacking garniture. Nice dessert.

We stopped for lunch at this 'typical' Alsacian tavern. We were given a table even though we did not have a reservation. It seems that it is a very popular place with the locals, and it filled up quickly. The service was quite slow, but the staff's friendliness and the fact that they worked very hard overcame what could have... More

We came in the "Taverne Asaciene" for our last night in Gerardmer and it was a good surprise. A warm welcome a good ambiance and the most important a very good food. All for a reasonable price. A good place compare to some other "traditional" restaurant in Gerardmer.
