This is a wonderful restaurant, extremely well located in St Germain, in front of the chateau and its gardens, and right by the metro. The food is delicious. The 20 euro menu served for lunch on weekdays is excellent value. The décor is very nice and the service is impeccable. All staff are very friendly.

To be fair, the fresh shellfish was excellent but the cooked dishes were awful. I ordered fresh tuna mi-cuit on a bed of aubergine. The tuna was grey and tasteless. The aubergine (my favourite veg) was drenched in oil. It reminded me of the sort of food you used to get in London 30 years ago.

We were looking forward celebrating one of the family member birthday on the terrasse facing the Castle on a cool July summer evening. The table for 6 was booked at noon by phone for a 21:00 pm dinner outside. Unfortunately when we arrived the terrasse was closed and we had a table inside in the back of the incredibly hot... More

Right next to the Chateau in the centre of town this brasseries is old fashioned French style. It specialises in seafood and frankly there is not much point in having anything else as it does not do other stuff very well. The seafood platters are exquisite and very fresh. I had the mixed platter and was delighted. Colleagues had steak... More

Their lunch special was very reasonable, although we chose to have a la carte because the options suited our preferences better. The oysters were beautifully fresh (shucked to order), and the tuna sashimi superb. Confit duck tender, as it should be. Cheese a good selection and the sorbets beautiful. well worth a visit.

Had lunch last Saturday. Fish rubbery texture with no taste and it had been cooked and reheated hours before. Very little else on plate beside sweet potatoes. So a dish costing 27euro and I was still hungry and dissatisfied after it. Service extremly slow and disinterested. Won't go here again.

In front of the castle where Louis XIV is born, the best place in Saint-Germain-en-Laye to have a nice romantic dinner. Seafood and wine are the highlights of this tipical French restaurant.

Went for a family meal with parents. The place is quite old fashioned and can feel a little stuffy, we had a table overlooking the Chateau which was lovely. The service was really good and so were the starters, mains & drinks, however the desserts were a bit disappointing.

Booked last minute for a friend and I. It has a nice position but on arrival and throughout the evening felt the staff were somewhat inattentive and only smiled when they brought the bill! The food was nice but not outstanding.
