We booked a table today for four adults and a child for lunch, was given a table with a high chair. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, spoke English to us and made us feel really welcome. Charming restaurant which was incredibly busy. Food was fantastic, duck cooked beautifully, desserts amazing, faultless service. Really worth the top rating - was... More

Dropped in here for dinner and had our obligatory Americano cocktails as we perused the menu. Our daughter went for the kids menu - home made chicken nuggets with pasta in creme freche followed by ice cream and a drink all for €9.50 The parents went for the €23 menu which was 3 courses with a glass of wine and... We visit Compiegne in July 2016. Called into the restaurant on the off-chance of getting a table after looking up reviews on Tripadvisor. Brilliant choice! It was 7pm and by 7.30, the restaurant was full. We had the formule - my husband the 23 Euro and me the 30 Euro. This was 3 courses and included a glass of wine... More

Cozy and inviting ambiance, good traditional French food and plenty of excellent wines by the glass, this bistro has it all. Still thinking about the delicious fresh truffle omelet at yesterday's lunch, with a glass of Cotes du Rhone. Doesn't get much better than that. Reservations recommended, though if you arrive early enough for lunch there's bound to be room.

This is an excellent restaurant serving well prepared traditional French food with an imaginative twist. We enjoyed it so much that we returned again the following evening and were not disappointed. We spent 3 weeks travelling around France mainly opting for the menu of the day when eating out and this was by some distance our best experience. Wilfreid and... More

Forget the usual pasta and grilled steak, and indulge yourself with real and local French cuisine. Ranging from eels, snails, duck, lamb, cod and up to crème brulée, everything is delicious and hand made. The service was a little junior for my taste, and the price was right for the level of quality. I'll go back if I have a... More

The food is really good even if not special, at least for this one visit. Definitly would return for a next visit, They have 2 menu options one 'basic' one 'premium', but also a la carte, good range of choices

We visited this restaurant between visits to the Armistice Clearing and the Palace and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the 3 course lunch. I had Escargot in cheese sauce, Shoulder of Lamb with Lentils, and Apple/raisin Crisp with Apple Ice Cream for dessert while my husband had Scallop St. Jacques Soup, Monkfish with Red Peppers on bed of Spinach,...
