We are not regulars at Lameloise in the sense that we go there once a month, but we have eaten here on and off since the end of the 1960s. We got off on a bad note as, despite we had called to check, that the tasting menu had to be ordered and apéritif started before 13.30, so when we were ready to order at 13.25 - too late. A disappointment for the participants from Sweden, United States and Switzerland. Now, carte was the only option. Some of us chose Rougets with foie gras and artichauts and an excellent sauce au verjus, others picked elaborate langoustines with ris soufflé and celery, but why that tiny blob of caviar? As main course Poularde de Bresse but again the Truffes Blanches seemed more for the carte than for the dish. Classical Crêpes Suzette flambées tableside. Perfect service and the usual arrays of little things with the apéro and with the coffee. As mentioned in the title, there were just a few other groups of guests which left the premises depressingly sparsely populated. With a carte compressed to four starters, two fish and three meat courses, it is an illustration of the difficulties in running a top class restaurant. So, what is the final verdict? Good, some very good, the rouget and the langoustines excellent, but three stars, unfortunately not.

This is very belated review for a visit in June of 2019, but it was amazing enough that I feel the need to comment after the fact. Even years later, this is one of the most memorable meals we've ever had (and it was not our first 3-star Michelin experience). From the service to the wine recommendations, to the fantastic menu, the attention to detail and delicate combinations of flavors, textures, and beautiful presentation were all exactly as we might have hoped. While the famous crispy langoustine with puffed quinoa was indeed outstanding and all moments in the menu were excellent, what stands out still, years later, was the sabayon that the sea bass came with. It was out of this world, and I can still taste it if I think about it. Overall, while it was of course pretty pricey, this was worth the trip, and highly recommended!

The dinner at Bourgogne’s Maison Lameloise was a pilgrimage trip that struck the heart of French culinary experience. It is the epitome of what French cuisine has stood for centuries- its paragon of technique, presentation, and most importantly, taste. We booked a table at 7.00 pm. We were shown directly to the table at the corner of the room. The room was well spaced and fitted with many colourful abstract paintings which effectively contrast with solid coloured brown chairs and wavy grey carpet floor. The restaurant was well lit. Instead of candle light, Lameloise opted for LED lighting that mimicked the effect of wavy candle light minus the afterlight mess. The wine glass was thin and crisp. It is aesthetically pleasing just by looking at it. The glass even has a slight bulge in the bowl which provides more contact with air to the wine when the glass is swirled. The restaurant has extensive wine in its vault. The list is so massive that it is more ecologically friendly to store the list on a tablet rather than in a hardcopy. After selecting an aperitif, tiny bites of Hors d'oeuvre are served. The food is immaculate and artistically beautiful. It is as though we are sitting in a theatre enjoying the show. Rather than light projecting onto the silk screen, the show manifested on the plate waiting for you to taste. I began the course with crab & mullet with creamy foie gras and black currant oil dressed up with microgreen (9/10). The taste of foie gras in the crispy transparent pancake goes well with the mango and mullet. The pollack with artichoke is also cooked to perfection with onion broth gravy (10/10). The highlight of these courses is the suckling veal. The veal is well cooked but a bit bland for my taste but the taste and the texture of perfectly cooked sweetbread is out of this world. The chef technique is first class. It seemed that as the meal progressed, the chef was showing off his skill through the art of the plate and the palate on my tongue. The cheese plate is just divine. You can pick any of the cheese on the tray and it will be as good as you can imagine. Overall, it was a wonderful epicurious experience, the food, ambience, wine and its services. However, I felt that this restaurant has very little human touch. Don't get me wrong, Maison Lameloise is a great restaurant but there are a few nuances that prevent Lameloise from attaining perfection. Even though the service is faultless, the personnel are a bit too uptight. Every word that each personnel converse felt like regurgitation from preemptive text. It is not at all bad to have some protocols but too much of it seems out of touch.

Absolutely bizar what we experienced here today. We had many lunches/dinners in 2 & 3 star restaurants but Lameloise offers a lunch for 85 Euro. We had low(er) expectations since 85 Euro for a 3 star is like incredibly cheap. But what happened was the complete opposite. We were welcomed more than friendly, the amuses were great, the main course divine, friandises and Dessert superb. Even a change to a different dessert was not even charged. The bottle of wine that was adviced was 45 Euro. I don’t want to talk about prices only. But this is awesome food. No no caviar, lobsters, turbot. But hey who needs this if they make with humble ingredients beautiful dishes. Completely blown away & absolutely deserving 10/10.

Not often do I give 5* to an establishment - there is always something to fault. In this case it was as near perfection as one can get. The menu in tune with the season, the textures and flavours in total harmony and the staff maintained the delicate balance of professionalism and friendliness. Sell the car, mortgage the house and go here for a meal to remember.

Our children bought us a tasting lunch for my 60th. Amazing. We had three amouse Bouche followed by 5 courses and an extra of birthday cake. Excellently paired wines to accompany each course and cheese. The cheese trolley was excellent. As I don’t eat meat ( they had been pre-warned I think) , each course had been especially adapted for me and there was no awkwardness at all. The whole event was like going to the theatre; superb food, friendly, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere. This restaurant richly deserves its three Michelin stars. Probably the best meal we’ve ever eaten

We thoroughly enjoyed the full tasting menu. Every single course was beautifully presented and filled with a wonderful depth and complexity of flavors. The service was outstanding! This is by far one of our best Michelin restaurant experiences.

What to say? One can expect excellent food and service, but Lameloise even elevates it to another level. Having visited multiple 3 michelin starred restaurants, we feel Lameloise understands best what is needed. The quantities of the food and accompanied wines were perfect and more than sufficient. All dishes were on point, but the standout dishes were for me the monkfish and the European lobster with blackberry, corn and sabayon. Exciting stuff! The wines were excellent as well and as one may expect, all but one from the region of Burgundy. The '16 Thibault Liger Belair Aux Reas and '19 Chassagne 1er cru, to name a few, were wines to remember. When we visit Burgundy in the future again, Maison Lameloise will be part of it for sure.

My favorite restaurant anywhere. For such a famous restaurant, Chef Pras and the staff maintain a humility which honors the region that the restaurant calls home. The restaurant begins with a strong commitment to local ingredients and from there offers two innovative tasting menus suitable for consecutive visits during a weekend stay. Those menus offer a wonderful variety of dishes. Most recently, we had John Dory, Tuna, langoustine (a classic), veal, and squab just to name a few. Don’t miss the cheese course. You will never forget it. The impeccable service comes without any of the pretense that you might expect from such a well known restaurant. On this particular visit, the restaurant and hotel staff were particularly helpful in accommodating our large family group. They even prepared what looked like the best chicken I have ever seen for my 7-year-old niece and arranged for her to stay with a babysitter during our meal. The Sommelier Sebastien was very pleasant to work with. They offered a wine pairing option that featured excellent selections, all from Burgundy, but the wine list is also filled with excellent bottles from the region at all price points. Don’t immediately pick the wine option. If you stay in the hotel, be sure not to miss breakfast the next morning!

An exceptional place with wonderful staff. Of course, it's not every day that you can afford a three Michelin star, but the experience is magnificent in this beautiful setting in Burgundy. Éric Pras, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2004, offers inventive cuisine in keeping with the “Lameloise” heritage. Here we are installed in small rooms independent of each other, which makes the impression of intimacy even more significant. The staff is attentive and attached to the Lameloise spirit, still witness and relay of this hospitality which survives from generation to generation. The products are worked with care and inventiveness, and are magnified on the plate that is presented to you with beautiful ceremony. The lunch menu is affordable with three beautiful dishes, a pre-starter, appetizers and sweets. Bread and brioche accompany your meal. This menu included scallops, Poularde de Bresse supreme stuffed with sweetbreads, and a magnificent chocolate-pear dessert. Fantastic bottles in the cellar. Well done to the whole brigade.

In September, as part of our culinary and Burgundy/Champagne wine indulgence, we spent two nights at Maison Lameloise. The hotel has that classic European allure. Beautiful accommodations with all the amenities you could want. Enjoy delicious goodies every day in our room. On the second evening, we had a fantastic meal. If you should have "one" great, unforgettable evening, this is the location, according to prior reviewers. Although it will be expensive, you won't soon forget the encounter with a chef that is genuinely inventive and captures "love" of food in every imaginable manner. The crew provides exceptional service befitting of a three-star establishment. I appreciate having a wonderful location to stay and dine.

We had reserved a table for 4 for dinner , the person who invited us being a regular customer. The butler announced that <> Sic In addition, if you wanted to change an imposed dish from the menu, for allergy or taste, there would be 35€ extra! I’ll call it a fine instead.😊 I find it difficult to understand that a Michelin-starred chef and MOF in addition can not have a little flexibility in his service ., because in an order, adding a fine to change the monkfish of menu 1 with the Saint Pierre of menu 2 is not justified, the preparation time being the same at the setting up, and the material 1 st, in this case 60 g of fish at the same cost. The solution is therefore to reserve 2 tables, close together, one for the menu, the other for the menu.😄😄😄. For my part, I don’t want to come back because the dishes were very good but not sublime, hence my rating.

Excellent dinner and overnight stay in a lovely burgundy restaurant. 3 different set menus but all of them come with ‘gourmandises’ pre desserts and other extras, all of which were full of flavour. Highly recommended in a beautiful burgundy village ,

This place is amazing ! The menu is huge and everyone will find something outstanding. If you decide to enjoy the tasting menu then plan on a four to five hour lunch. Food is prepared like little pieces of art and the flavor combinations are amazing. Service is friendly and efficient. Have some happy hour here. Staff were so polite and helpful. So impressed with the service, thanks.
