It's very hard to find a restaurant open on a Sunday in issoire. There is a surprising shortage of restaurants anyway for a French town. In desperation we managed to cobble enough French together to ask two locals for any restaurant. They both said this restaurant est tres Bon. We nearly resorted to a pizza place against our firm convictions... More

This small restaurant is hidden in a side street off the main square but it's well worth seeking out. It *is* small, so it's also worth getting there early or better yet, book. If you book, they'll also tell you what's on the menu today. It's a fixed menu, so worth checking. The front-of-house lady speaks reasonable english and likes... More

This was one of the best meals we have ever had. Anywhere. The staff is warm and welcoming. They sincerely want you to have a grand evening. Every effort is made to accommodate your tastes. The Chef is passionate and inspired. The food is deeply authentic, honoring the region and the season brilliantly I intend to take other friends from... More

Life is very unfair. Some are lucky enough to live in Issoire. The rest of us do not and therefore cannot eat at Le P’tit Roseau every time we want a sensational meal at a moderate price, prepared and served by the kind of delightful young couple who single-handedly restore all your jaded faith in the restaurant business. But hey…... More

We picked Issoire for a stop over on our way to Montpellier on the basis of reviews of this restaurant rather than picking a restaurant in a larger city. This proved to be an excellent decision. The food was simply superb, and the best of our two week vacation. Each plate of food looked, and tasted, beautiful. Booking was easy,... More

It was thanks to tripadvisor that we found this little gem of a restaurant. Everything was perfect, from the amuse- bouche right through to the dessert. Everything on the plate zinged with flavour. The madame was so warm and friendly. What a shame it is so far from where we live otherwise it would be our "regular"!

Sonia and her partner(chef) lovely, the food amazing. They were trying out a new menu, but were equally happy to vary the main course for anyone. The atmosphere was really warm and inclusive with the locals too. To the food definitely a wow factor . The 2 amuse bouch really good, starter not only very tasty, but executed perfectly, the... brilliant cooking in tiny (approx. 20 cover) restaurant - if it were grander it would have a Michelin star but here just 29 Euros buys 3 fabulously original and beautifully presented courses plus outstanding amuse-bouches and even a pre-dessert sorbet, Delightful friendly, informal but nonetheless professional welcome. A reason in itself to return to Isoire! Menu highlights - terrine of... More

We highly recommended this restaurant to you. We feel privileged to have tasted the superb cooking at this stylish little restaurant, which opened two years ago and is owned by a very talented and welcoming husband and wife team. He, Jérémy Bonhivers, is an incredibly talented chef - every course beautifully presented with a clean and perfectly balanced complexity of... More

This small restaurant, opened two years ago, is simply stunning. The quality of the food prepared by the chef was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty - from the mushroom tart starter, through the main course of stuffed quail on a bed of vegetables, to the chocolate pudding with passion fruit. Portions were just right, with the flavours of each course... More
