Came here on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews, and we weren't disappointed. I had the duck breast with a cepes ice-cream (yes, mushroom icecream, but it worked wonderfully), which was delicious (a word of warning - I was asked how I wanted the duck cooked, and said I wanted it pink but not bloody inside, which is exactly what... After reading all the great reviews for this restaurant, we thought we should give it a try while in Sarlat. We were sadly disappointed. When the waiter brought one aperitif, he had to ask again what the other one was. The menu stated that all meals were served with potatoes. My dinner arrived with 4 scallops in a mess of... More

A cozy little restaurant in the middle of Sarlat La Caneda. The owner and the waiters are very friendly and helpful. My husband chosed the duck menu and I chosed the scallops, both are delicious. But my biggest highlight is on the dessert, the 'tarte aux noix' is to-die-for!

We had outstanding service here, with our busy waiter recommending an excellent half-bottle of wine and assisting us with translation of the menu. Generous bistro food. Very good lamb cutlets. My partner really enjoyed his duck with mushroom ice-cream and his perfect creme-brulee, which was prepared with a seriously high-powered gas torch, right in front of us.

Went here on a long weekend when there was not a lot open on a holiday weekend in Starlat-la-Caneda. We were very happy we chose this restaurant. They fitted us in without a reservation. The waiter was enthusiastic to help us & was the only server in the room. He made us at ease as we were not native speakers.... More

The owner of the restaurant was very nice and extremely helpful. It was a cold night at the end of April and the restaurant was cold also. The owner was handing out blankets. The specials where a tasting menu and duck spring rolls. I guess I could go into detail about how average the food was, but it isn't worth... More

Just steps away from the main drag, Sarlat-la-Caneda becomes an incredibly handsome town, full of winding streets and beautifully maintained architecture. There are several highly recommended restaurants in town but without reservations we were left to wander and find something open. This restaurant is positioned alongside one of these lovely narrow streets with a patio in the summer. The service... More

We had the spring rolls with duck meat and lamb. A bottle of red local (Bergerac) wine, sure. Completely satisfied!

This place was recommended by the owner of our B&B. The setting in a Sarlat alley is very nice, service was good and the house wine was good. The first course of foie gras was very nice and so were the lamb cutlets that my husband had. I ordered duck breast with mushroom ice cream (yes!). I guess I did... More
