We loved our evening at La Petite Borie, but do make a reservation. We must have seen at least a dozen potential diners turned away. Service was excellent and so was the food. Although it is pretty typically Perigordian, there were dishes that one does not usually see. The garlic soup to start was delicious and the rest of the... More

In the middle of a very hot, busy July market day, I spied 'La Petite Borie' whilst looking for a place to have lunch. Sarlat is full of restaurants, but this one was cool and comfortable and the food looked very good. We had a friend on crutches in our party of 5 and the restaurant were most helpful in... More

Charming little restaurant. Reasonable servings at a mid point price. The food was lovely choice of regional dishes and did not disappoint. It was our fifth night in Sarlet and resorted to Trip Advisor for advice. Good service and very cosy inside for a very uncharacteristically cold June night.

Had dinner at this cosy little restaurant. The prices were good and the servings substantial. If you order a menu, it comes with soup as a pre-entree. I ordered fois gras for entree and steak for mains. My wife had a duck gizzard salad and crispy skin duck confit. The fois gras and duck gizzard salad was delicious. I should... More

We had a very enjoyable meal and evening at La Petite Borie. We had not booked but the welcome was attentive and generous. The hostess and proprietor very knowledgeable about the menu and advised with charm. There was plenty of seating on the ground and first floors. For initial drinks the hostess suggested her own brewed artisan beer "classic" or... More

It was quite busy the night we went and only one waitperson. She never stopped smiling and being helpful in explaining the menu. The food was really good and the ambiance was what you would expect : )

We had a lovely lunch sitting outside the restaurant watching the world go by. Excellent choice of various set priced menus. Food was good. Service was friendly and efficient. I thought the restaurant was quite busy downstairs but when I wne upstairs the place was packed with locals.

Lovely little restaurant. Great food. Decent price. Lovely staff. We had a fairly traditional menu (foie gras, steak, creme brulée) which was all well cooked and lovely but the star of the show for me was the beautiful garlic soup at the beginning. Gorgeous.

Happened upon this great little restaurant by chance for lunch. I had the smoked trout salad which was lovely - very fresh and a huge portion. My husband had the entree + main of foie gras and pork with potato, which were both absolutely delicious. Service was fast and attentive. Great find and I hope to return in future!
