Out of the multitude of restaurants available on Saturday market day, we chose this one from the variety available on the menu. It's hard not to have foie gras in Sarlat, but finding it prepared as you want it might be a challenge. We found nice salads, a very nice regional main course of roasted pork with sauce perigourdine accompanied... More

Arrived early and glad we did, as it filled up shortly afterwards! Super Foie Gras starter (x2) and Duck Parmentier and Cepes Omlette mains. The set menus also included a delicious Potage (traditional garlic soup). The whole meal and the service was excellent!

Two of us had an amazing prix-fixe lunch at La Petite Borie. For starters one of us had pate de campagne, the other a huge goats' cheese salad. For mains one of us had confit of duck, the other pork in a creamy mustard sauce, both with Sarladaise potatoes; 13.50 euros each, plus 3.50 euros for a glass of excellent... More

I have just read the previous one star review and can only think that they visited a different restaurant. This is an excellent place with pleasant waiting staff and lovely food. We had the €17 decouverte set menu, which starts with a free extra dish of delicious boullion. The foie gras was excellent, as was my wife's confit of duck... More

We ate here on our first night in Sarlat, unfortunately recommended by our accommodation & it was terrible. We have travelled many months all over Europe & this is by far the worst experience we have ever had., in any country. Indifferent service - and that's being kind, awful greasy inedible food. Thankfully, we found a wonderful place the next... More

We loved our evening at La Petite Borie, but do make a reservation. We must have seen at least a dozen potential diners turned away. Service was excellent and so was the food. Although it is pretty typically Perigordian, there were dishes that one does not usually see. The garlic soup to start was delicious and the rest of the... More

In the middle of a very hot, busy July market day, I spied 'La Petite Borie' whilst looking for a place to have lunch. Sarlat is full of restaurants, but this one was cool and comfortable and the food looked very good. We had a friend on crutches in our party of 5 and the restaurant were most helpful in... More

Charming little restaurant. Reasonable servings at a mid point price. The food was lovely choice of regional dishes and did not disappoint. It was our fifth night in Sarlet and resorted to Trip Advisor for advice. Good service and very cosy inside for a very uncharacteristically cold June night.

Had dinner at this cosy little restaurant. The prices were good and the servings substantial. If you order a menu, it comes with soup as a pre-entree. I ordered fois gras for entree and steak for mains. My wife had a duck gizzard salad and crispy skin duck confit. The fois gras and duck gizzard salad was delicious. I should... More

We had a very enjoyable meal and evening at La Petite Borie. We had not booked but the welcome was attentive and generous. The hostess and proprietor very knowledgeable about the menu and advised with charm. There was plenty of seating on the ground and first floors. For initial drinks the hostess suggested her own brewed artisan beer "classic" or... More
