Ate here with family on a very hot summer night, it was great watching the world go by as we ate delicious food. The service was friendly and attentive with a good choice of food from the region.

We dined on the first-floor external terrace, overlooking the main town square and were treated to charming service and good food. In fact, the steak was one of the best we have ever had.

A wonderful dinner of a perfect omelette - light and fluffy and cooked to the point of just done but not over-cooked. The foie gras was smooth, full-flavored but delicate

Having eaten at numerous restaurants in Sarlat over the years we are always on the lookout to try new places. We tend to usually avoid the market place as it can be quite busy but as we visited out of season it was just pleasant. We had seen this menu previously and liked the look of it but we had... More

Have been going her for lunch for several years now...always have the same salad with Rocamaour cheese on toast....followed by assiete de fromage. Not sure if they have changed the chef or what but the salad was pretty poor...all one type of (cheapest) salad leaf....plate not decorated with apple etc as it used to be....and quite expensive for what it... We wanted a light lunch on a Sunday and this was perfect! So often, a restaurant of this quality expects you to have a full meal. My husband ordered an omelette with cepes that also came with a green salad and Sarlat potatoes. I ordered a 1/2 melon with some sort of sweet wine in the middle. We each had... More

Great service..friendly and fast...good bread, good salad, good wine and the right price. My main plate was not very good...edible but not really good. Good view on the main square adds something as well. So...in spite of a poor poulet...it is decent and better than average.

Le Regent is in the main square facing the Town Hall. A people watching paradise. We ate from the 16 euro set menu which was good value. The foie starter was more like a terrine with foie in the middle, but still very nice. Both the duck & the salmon mains were equally enjoyable. Don't know about the sweets as... More

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner of Magret de Canard on a Sunday evening with outdoor seating. Both the food and service were exceptional. The prices were reasonable. Highly recommended and we will probably return.
