After soaking up the atmosphere of the main square in Sarlat (and of course a few drinks after a long drive) we struggled to find a restaurant that wanted to take 2 customers at 9.00pm on a Sunday night. Luckily Criquettamus's was both open and welcoming. The food and atmosphere were kind to our weary selves and we left well... More

They were very good with our large party. Food was excellent and service was friendly. We felt welcome and cared for. Great location in the old city center.

The chef here does a good job with presentation and the variety of the menu is commendable. Food quality was fine and our party of 7 was generally pleased. Where this restaurant falls down is on service which was ok. The restaurant is a funky mix of artsy stuff and strong colors with a menu featuring poetry, so someone's heart... More

One of the best meals of our journey around France. The food was amazing. With 8 of us dining we had a great range and we all loved our meals. The escargot was delicious, as was the duck with fois gras. Good selection of wines.

First night in Sarlat. Arriving late (and starving), and after some 4 or 5 attempts, we were thankful to find a restaurant which would feed us... The experience was way above our expectations- delicious food, big portions and above all friendly and warm service! Salads are Hugh and very good!!

Looking for a place to eat at 10 30 pm, we ve been advised this restaurant and it was far above my expectation... tuna tartare, duck egyptian style and a large cheese plate served past midnight... service was great and the single malts selection is great too... will definitely come back!d

We arrived in Sarlat-la-Caneda late on a rainy night so after checking in at the local Ibis we drove up to the center of old town looking for a restaurant that we noticed on Trip Advisor. Sadly they were closing so the hostess recommended another restaurant that stayed open late further up the street. We noticed another restaurant right across... More

We started off with salads, beet salad and duck salad. Duck salad was large w/ lots of meat and veggies. The other was less than half its size. For dinner, one of us had duck leg w/ potatoes and the other fish w/ rice and bread stick. They were both good. Dessert we ordered apple cobbler & creme brulee, the... More

We had a very nice meal here. White fish, salad, vegetables, rice and a great Creme Brule. Quite romantic with nice candlesticks and an interesting revolving colored light. Staff spoke a bit of English, but with the Lonely Planet phrasebook we got by. We highly recommend it.
