This is a splurge restaurant, with a couple of different options for tasting menus. The service is attentive but not overbearing; the wine list is well varied, with heavy emphasis on the wines of the regions; and the food is beautiful and perfectly prepared. Nothing disappointed.

Le Grand Bleu never disappoints. It is perplexing reading negative reviews. The food is simply amazing. Memorable. Every bit deserving of a Michelin star. The service is unobtrusive, friendly and efficient. We had the 54 euro meal (starter, fish or meat, and dessert). Foie gras with plum and walnut wine ices, cod with apple and squash purée, chestnut/fig soufflé with... More

You must reserve ahead to dine here in a restaurant which was born nearly 11 years ago and earned a Michlin star 8 years ago. Once done we agreed that yes, it is expensive, but still a bargain. On arrival one is seated in a well designed and artful space, table setting arraigned and an amusee bouche presented as one... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our local hosts. We sampled the decouverte menu and absolutely loved it, in spite of eating far too much. There were entrees and a fish dish as well as a meat dish, plus desserts, a bottle of wine. While the service is described by others as not so good, our experience was quite... More

Four of recently had lunch hoping to sample a Michelin starred restaurant in the south of France. The restaurant has maybe 4 or 5 tables, is intimate, food was well prepared and presented and tasty. However, our server could not answer a single question about any dish, no advice offered on wine choices and sadly, due to the tiny space,... More

We are not ones to chase Michelin star restaurants but we had a special occasion to celebrate and so had lunch at Le Grand Bleu. It was a very special treat. The presentation was everything you would expect in a Michelin starred establishment. The dessert I chose was a black olive macaron with asparagus basil cream, fresh strawberries and black... More

We chose this restaurant based on its Michelin rating, however despite elegant food presentation, the flavours of our meal on this occaision were average, the room was very drab, and the service was very inattentive. If you just want the food to look pretty, this is the place for you. Perhaps it was the chefs night off??

This restaurant is a 10 minute walk from the old town, uphill for half the way. Interesting walk all the same and well lit on returning to the apartment. Arrived 10 minutes early and the 3 staff just looked at us and no-one smiled. The whole evening they were just the same, no small talk ,no interaction and when our dessert... More

We visited the restaurant twice in June this year, both at lunchtime, The food is superb and beautifully presented. The lunchtime menu is tremendous value for a Michelin-starred restaurant and full of surprises. The wine list is extensive and covers all styles. The service is impeccable even when the restaurant is busy. The menu is translated into English. With free... More

Very good food, imaginative, & good quality. Split pea soup with a dollop of asparagus ice cream. Pickled carrots, fish rolled with basil, & an usual curry sauce. Nice presentation & service. delicious homemade breads and rolls. Downside: pretty spendy, the curry doesn't taste like any curry you've ever heard of, & one of the dishes had a fish ice... More
