The place was extremely busy and the staff remained friendly and polite. Our Tuna starter was beautiful. The main course let it down. It was a chicken hotpot, warm more than hot and lacking flavour. A great ambience.

The food was good and of good quality. Ample lighting for people who might have trouble reading the menu in less well lighted places. Such as myself. The staff was friendly. The only complaint was the timing of the service. The appetizers came before we...had hardly began our cocktails and then a good half an hour between the appetizers and the main dish.More

We went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Very delicious authentic french cuisine and wine, good and friendly service. Oysters were just average, but couldn't spoil the impression of other great dishes)

We had supper, it was generous portions lots of meat on the menu, perhaps lacking finesse but good food and nice busy atmosphere

Before the Sunday lunch crowds on a Sunday in Arcachon, we ate the play du jour; it was excellent on both quality and value. The restaurant is on a street full of restaurants, so be careful to get the right one.

After so many oysters we decided to treat ourselves to a steak and we were very disappointed, not in the quality but we both asked for our steaks to be well done and when they came out, after a long wait, our steaks were blue....I sent mine back and it improved slightly but still lots of blood. I wasn’t expecting it to be cooked thoroughly but it ruined my experience. Such a shame as the staff were very friendly and helpful. Out a bit of a spoiler on our last night in France.More

Visited due to the reviews and I decided to go for the entree and plat de jour just as a challenge It was real French food and my fish starter had a superb taste The lamb was fantastic with penna pasta and a great sauce....My wife had the confit canard which she says was superb and her baked Camembert starter was sublime. For desert we had the Cafe Gourmand and one of the finest chocolate fondant ever. A great bottle of Saint Emilion at 26 euro completed the meal at a very reasonable overall cost of 91euro (that included two pre meal drinks.) We will most certainly look forward to a return visit. Staff friendly and happy to explain to us in English what everything was. Thank youMore

We ate here twice in the week that we spent in Arcachon. The service was execellent as was the food. It is primarily a meat based restaurant (hence the name), I believe the only option for fish on the day we went was tuna. We...opted for a mutton dish which was superb and served with a wonderful selection of vegetables. We also very much enjoyed a tuna carpaccio that was served with ginger and lemon. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming feel. We ate outside but I would imagine a table inside on a day when the weather was inclement would a lovely place to sit, eat and relax and watch the world go by. If we are ever in Arcachon again we will return.More

Split here...my partner preferred it to me. The service was very quick. The bavette steak I had was so chewy that my jaw ached after eating it.
