Great welcome and helpful service followed by very yummy seafood - I particularly liked the Tuna Tartare, and was not disappointed with the sea food platter either. All washed down with very pleasant and reasonably priced regional white. All in all a lovely experience that I would be happy to recommend.

Fish soup not home made , squid was dry and not cooked properly . Fish and Seafood are probably fresh but not cooked properly . Needs a lot of improvement from the Chef . We do not really recommend this place.

This restaurant is opposite Arcachon station and has lots of tables outside. One of the chefs is a full time preparer of fruit des mers. This always gets me in a good mood! The oysters were fresh, cold and as they should be. The crevettes with mayonaise were swallowed by my son. The couteaux maybe a little to garlicy however... More

We're back in Arcachon yet again and our first proper meal had to be at Chez Yvette. We like it as we like an old friend, and accept some of its foibles as you would with an old friend. The waitress was charming and little haphazard at times, but the food was great and the ambience was - as ever... More

I guess the best review is: I was here twice.. This is an honest place - no seawiew or other fringe benefits; just the quality of the 50-something old family restaurant focussing on fish and seafood... First visit: fixed menu including oysters and salmon.. Oysters beyond perfect - but that is the sea, not the restaurant. The salmon: a disappointment.... More

As I was planning a weekend in Arcachon with a good friend, I saw Chez Yvette's good ratings on Trip Advisor. I therefore booked a table for 2 via La Fourchette on Trip Advisor, we wanted to treat ourselves to some tasty fresh seafood. We were quickly welcomed upon our arrival with a free glass of sangria each (we were... More

The decor in this restaurant is fantastic - very retro. Good choice on menu for seafood lovers and meat eaters too. Dog friendly which is always a bonus for us. Very enjoyable evening meal.

We came across this restaurant as we made our way from teh station to the Tourist Information Office. We had only a short time before catching the bus to the Dune du Pylas and the staff were very efficent in taking our order and serving it. The food was delicious. The grilled mixed fish was superb and the skate wing... More

This restaurant has been in Arcachon for many years. They are known for their seafood which is consistantly good. It is centrally located in the center of town near the train station.
