Read previous reviews and was keen to go. Got there and waited for a member of staff to seat a family of 4, and waited, trying to figure out if we should wait and then I approached a member of staff. It was busy but..... Finally sat down and the waitress was very patient and explained the menu, and bathe... More

We had entrecote at this restaurant. The food was good, the service quick and the price reasonable. We have no complaints except perhaps the waiters could have taken more time to explain or recommend dishes.

We stopped for a drink on the terrace of this busy restaurant, and liked it so much that we decided to linger on for an early supper. The food and local wine were delicious, the service prompt and friendly, the general ambiance relaxed and pleasant, and all at a very reasonable price. Perhaps not the place for really serious foodies,... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The food was average but the servings were huge. The tarte flambe is quite good, however.

Went there for lunch on a Sunday, while the service was nice and fast, and the interiors of this ancient granary are traditional and interesting, the food was at best average: Filled pasta squares (Maultaschen) were bland, even supermarket quality is better, a game 'baeckeoffe' lacked in taste and the choucroute alsacienne was average. Only good dish: The green salad... More

Really nice dining room with a lot of attention to detail, typical Alsacian decorations and furnishings, especially the chairs, each with their own wood carving. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was wonderful, served in a cosy French atmosphere.

Cosy old building with a good atmosphere in its own "tasteless" style. Good local cuisine with local specialities. Nice service. Not too loud, but great background music.

We ate there as part of our tour. There was plenty of room and big tables, so it was pleasant enough. The food was mediocre and the service rather slow although cheerful. I wouldn't choose to eat there as a couple.

My husband and I were lucky to get a place at this lovely and busy restaurant the night before Christmas Eve in the beautiful town of Obernai. We only had a main course each, but were delighted with our choice of spare ribs with chips and escalope viennoise, served with various vegetables (courgettes, carrots) and chips. We had a pitcher... Visited Obernai during the Christmas market in December, when the lovely little town was bustling and lively. Many restaurants had temporary tents and awnings during this time, and we sat in the tent extension here. All we wanted was a simple lunch, and this is what we got. The menu has a range of Alsatian staples, with a preponderance of... More
