It is a challenge to not eat well in Calvi if you stay away from the tourist traps but this little, charming Corsican restaurant is worth a visit but highly recommend booking in advance. We ate there twice and tried roast octopus, fish cous cous, veg fritters, veal ragout, roast lamb, all fabulous. Warning portions are large so you might... More

On our last visit at the start of September, sardines were not in the menu. We loved them when we visited 10 years ago and this restaurant was top of our list to return to. We visited again one lunchtime at approx 1.15, sadly we were turned away as they were no longer serving. We were now determined! Next day,... More

Very small family run restaurant in the middle of Calvi a little away from the sea and the main tourist traffic. Make reservations. Speciality is freshly cooked fish and octupus. Father is it the kitchen mother in the restaurant serving the guests. Serves genuine Corsican food. Quality is outstanding. Very relaxed atmosphere. You will feel very happy after the meal.

When we visited 10 years ago we loved this restaurant and especially the sardines. This was high on our list to return to this holiday and we were delighted to see it was still going strong. It is a tiny restaurant so do arrive early or book in advance. There are a row of tables on a long bench, fairly... More

We went there this last week. Food is au authentic Corsican, rustic style. I had duck and my partner octopus, so glad we didn't have a starter! Would recommend booking as it is quite small and fills up quickly. Don't miss it!

We went to Casanu on our last night and my only regret is we didn't have the chance to go again. The quality of the food is superb, traditional style - the best we had on our break. The restaurant is a little quirky but great atmosphere. Make sure you book as there are only a few tables and you... More

Came here twice on my honeymoon because it was definitely the best meal we had on our entire trip through Paris and Corsica. Small place without frills... Just truly exceptional food. The stewed octopus and the fish with couscous were soooo good it brought tears to my eyes. Best restaurant in Calvi hands down (and we went to the other... More
