Pleasant lunch

Came here Christmas Eve for lunch ... Very nice meal , good portions and hot. The service was very friendly , only down side was that the restaurant was very cold , and we were sat by the fire !! Would definitely return.

I live in Dodleston so we often go for convenience even though it just seems to get worse and worse. I find the positive reviews hard to understand. No disrespect to the staff who l am sure do their best and are always pleasant but the food is at best average. After numerous disappointing meals l finally feel compelled to... More

We were welcomed by our lovely waiter Ben. He found us a table we were happy with and talked us through the menu, the food was delicious and they were able to toast the gluten free bread that I provided. throughout the meal the waiter came over to chat with all the customers. He was very entertaining and you could... More

When we arrived for our table booking at 8.15 pm we were met by the waitress who straight away stated that half of the menu wasn't available! She went through the menu with us to tell us what wasn't available and didn't seem keen for us to stay. We decided to stay and choose from the limited menu as we... More

Chanced visit for evening meal Friday 18 December. Although busy, table for two no problem. Starter and mains excellent for both diners, and service attentive. Unfortunately no room for desserts this time. Have previously visited on occasions, and will definitely return when in area.

Called with a party of 7 last night. Drinks and food order taken quickly. Waited ages for food but when it came it was lovely. Chicken pie as always never fails. Sadly we sat with dirty plates for 30 mins along with other diners. We called the young man serving to clear away otherwise we would still have been there... More

Have not been here for many years, but returning from a day out, four adults and a baby were hungry and we remembered this place and we all had a fantastic experience on a Friday early evening. The extremely friendly staff were super efficient, the service was out of this world and even better food than I could have imagined.... More
