We are regulars at the Blue Gum Hotel. We love the atmosphere, the food is always great & average priced. They have a separate menu for kids & a wide range of on tap beers & wine. Conveniently located on Pacific Highway & a block up from Waitara station.

Love the way they have renovated this place. The food is great, a bit above your normal 'pub' food. Service is good and love the open fire during the winter season...gives it a cosy feel.

It can be good grub when its right on the night. Burgers seem popular , still to try one. The Pizza is oh so nothing really. The steaks are great. Their salads can be hit and miss , lamb salad was great previously , had it again and so so . Can be a bit expensive depending on what you... More

A taxi was booked by reception an hour before I needed it. It never came as the short distance I needed to travel didn't generate enough money. Reception indicated this has been a problem before. The staff member volunteered to drive me to the venue. Very thankful and appreciative of their kindness and helpfulness. The room was clean, a tad... More

What used to be a great place for a steak is not a very expensive option which is a really pity. Sure they have cleaned it up but now we can't get out of there with out blowing $100 on dinner. Sorry not pitching at the right market anymore.

We've been here twice in the past year and it's been great both times. Perfect place for a casual catch-up with groups of friends. Caters for all tastes - a very good range of dishes are on offer. The food portions are generous!! My steak was perfectly cooked (I asked for medium rare), which doesn't often happen at a pub!... More

Food average pub grub, pretty pricey for what you get, but the main problem is the atmosphere, more like a cheap club than a hotel

Have been impressed each time I've been to the Blue Gum. Their bistro has a really good menu with really tasty food but their beer selection is fantastic. Good place for a family meal or a social hang with mates.

This is what you want in a pub. It has a sports bar sort of area with pool tables. It has sofas. It has great beers on tap. AND the food is incredible. I've honestly had one of my top three best steaks ever here. And make sure to come to trivia on Wednesday nights.
