Actually it was a bit disappointing, we found out about this place from friends and excepted much better service (when we came ,they forgot about our booking) and food was okey, but not that amazing for 550kr per person. The area around the restaurant has no lights at all and it is a bit boring to have Xmas table in such... More

We went for a fun outing and lunch on a Wednesday. The restaurant was celebrating their 70th anniversary. We were there early and there was no problem getting a table and getting our order in quickly. We chose our favorite typical dish - äggakaka. The salad bar was included. The fresh tomatoes were wonderful as they were from Viken and... More

Surrounding The purpose to our visit was a lunch with our friends. We went for a long walk before eating, enjoying the skånsk countryside. They have kept some heritage from early ages, it's a great place to take the kids. Lunch They had a buffé which was only ok but lot to chose from. They have meatballs and steak. They... More

We had a very nice traditional goose dinner at this restaurant. You have to book a table in advance because the place is very popular! No wonder! It is really worth it! The food was very good, the service nice and friendly. It is not cheep but you will not regret visiting it. Strongly recommended also for the cultural experience.

Traditional Swedish food, well made, using mostly organic ingredients. Very good meatballs and a wonderful “äggakaga” with lingonberries. Fantastic homemade bread. Friendly and nice staff. A popular place, it's best to make a reservation. Don't miss to take a walk around the place afterward, it's calm and beautiful.

I have eaten here several years in a row at Christmas time, and am always impressed by the great selection of traditional Swedish Christmas food. This year was no exception. Many kinds of sill (flavoured pickled herring), lax (salmon), meatballs, exotic cold-cuts, a good selection of Christmas beers and schnapps, they have it all. The 'Julbord' is of course a... More

It is a little hard to find, even the navigation had problems, but it's worth the attempt! The old buildings and interior have a lot of atmosphere and the schonish food is excellent, nothing fancy, but good local kitchen with local produce, they are also mentioned in Swedens White Guide for Restaurants. And afterwards you can enjoy the museum (or... More

Östarps gästgivargård dates back to 17th century and lies in the middle of "nowhere" in Skåne (not far from Malmö). The food is really good and not only the interior decoration, but the entire staff match the 17th century style. We will come back as soon as we can!
