The house of Canton is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Mauritius. The Peking duck is a delightful experience and the dim sum even better. The service is efficient. The only draw back is the noise when full. The entertainment on Saturdays is also too loud and piercing.

My local colleague suggested Dim Sum for a quick lunch. It’s not what I was thinking when visiting Mauritius but hey why not. I have to say a pretty nice surprise both from the ambience of the restaurant and quality of the food. They push the carts around and you pick what you want like the old style Dim sum... More

Have been here twice. On my visit last year was a little disappointed since they serve dumplings only at lunch hours. But we ordered Chinese food which was excellent. On my visit to mauritius this year we made a point to book a lunch table and wow such a wonderful selection of yummy dimsums and other delectable delicacies. Chinese tea... More

House of Canton is a popular destination for many locals, especially for Sunday dim sum (reservations highly recommended since it can get VERY busy on Sundays). The selection of dim sum is very good but not spectacular either; a lot more dishes could be added on the dim sum menu. But they do make the dim sum fresh and hot... More

I have been at House of Canton for the past 5 years. Wonderful Dim Sum. Atmosphere is cosy. Lovely Peking Duck. Soup is tasty and portion is out of this world. You might need to reserve if you are going for lunch with big crowds as its full.

The food was definitely excellent. Really tasty. Not sure if it's healthy though :) We went there on a quiet week night. The restaurant was almost empty so we were served pretty fast. The decoration is modern and minimalistic. Our table was spacious, convenient for the dishes we ordered. And the staff was nice and polite too. However, it was... More

The staffs are really lazy, rude and not helpful at all. On our arrival, we had to find our own table as there was no one to seat us. We were then asked to move as the table we were on was for 3 people not 2. We On the positive side, the food was ok. Not great but ok.... More
