My wife and I stayed at a boutique hotel along Via Porta all'Arco near this trattoria in Volterra mid-October. As it was a very rainy weekend, it was easier for us to simply walk a short distance to this lovely two-story restaurant in order to take our meals. Thus we ate here once for lunch and once for dinner. As... More

This is an Interesting stop for some creative sweets and pastries in a lively wine bar / paticceria setting. They offer some unique local pastries worth tasting. Only down side is it can be very busy, to the point it can be difficult to get served at the counter or find a table. Worth a taste.

Lunch in alleyway When the rain came we found the rear of this restaurant which had some outside dining under awnings in an alley and found a sheltered spot. A very nice waitress served us a ravioli dish a mixed salad and wild boar with some wine and water and 1 coffee for 41 euros. Good pasta although the wild... More

Fantastic location in the centre of Volterra but in quiet side alley. We were served very nice by Polish waitress. Food was very good. Gnocchi with cheese was excellent salad with ham was good. Prices are affordable. Reccomended.

We enjoyed our evening meal here. Il Poggio is popular and serves good food. We would certainly eat here again. Nice staff.

Had the pizza and pasta here which were okay but nothing special. However it was the service that really let this place down. I don't mind waiting for food to arrive if it's worth the wait - but this wasn't. And getting the bill at the end of the meal was impossible. We ended up calculating it ourselves and then... More

We decided to eat in this place because we saw the terrace in the back alley, and seemed a good place to eat at the shadow. The place was wonderful but the food had nothing special. We asked for two different pizzas, they were not to big, and both seem to be the same pizza. Also asked for whine recomendation... More

We visited this restaurant yesterday. We were three families and ordered different food. Pizza small not even close to one you expect in Italy. Lasagne small portion and as well not very teasty. But the biggest disaster is a dessert. Tiramisu made base on Leibnitz biscuits and water with coffee and filled with mascarpone and cacao Never again, do not... More

This is a lovely looking restaurant in a gorgeous alley, so captures a lot of tourists passing by. As a family of 4 we each ordered something different and all rated this as 'average', all meals acceptable but not particularly nice; my ravioli rather bland and undercooked, the extra vegetable plate unappetizing, one of only a very few forgettable meals... Then we eated pizza: tasted as frozen pizza The guy near us ordered the same... He was local... A plate full of charcuterie and cheese... And use pizza baked on... More
