We had lunch here. This restaurant was recommended by the guide we had who is from the area. Roasted pork and potatoes were quite good. Nice wine and good service. Reasonable prices.

Delicious food and excellent service. Unassuming place - but the food is seriously good. We tried wild boar ragout and a delicious starter with mushrooms and courgettes. Lots of locals eating there and not expensive.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Wonderful spaghetti and gnocchi. Nice house wine too. Good service and fair prices.

It was a lovely day in Volterra and we elected to eat al fresco. The restaurant is within 2 blocks of Parking Lot #1, the underground lot very centrally located. The service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry and the food made up for the slow service. We all started with pasta - one with ravioli,... More

We went for dinner after a Michelin guide recommendation. The service was excellent and we had some good food. The bistecca alla fiorentina was excellent. However not all was as good. Our veg was from a frozen selection, cheese mousse made from Philadelphia in a country that makes mascarpone, the burger was nothing special. A decent meal but nothing special.

Very close to the main square and the Duomo, but somewhat tucked away. We had a very quiet, relaxing lunch. The service was excellent. The food was delightful - perhaps one of the best meals we've had in Italy. Reasonable prices and great menu. I had the wild boar with olives - delicious!

If you like seafood, this is the place to visit while in Volterra. An amazing meal! We called ahead and made a reservation for 17 people. We asked for a family-style meal for $30/person including wine. Holy moly, chef Paolo blew our minds!! Honestly, I lost count of the courses, but everything with perfectly prepared. The flavors were amazing and... More

Returned to Volterra for a lovely day, and stopped for lunch here. Although we are "tourists" we like to find places where "locals" eat. This restaurant did not disappoint. The pasta was homemade (and perfectly cooked). The Sienese Ragu was slow cooked and brimming with flavor. My wife's pasta was topped with a leek, tomato and cavalo nero Ragu which... More

If you're looking for real Italian food in a real Italian place and want to dodge the tourist traps, go here. Relatively inexpensive, high-quality dishes with good variety on the menu and wines to match. Local, atmospheric ambiance. Very friendly and flexible staff who went out of their way to accomodate a relatively demanding group like ours (7 adults, 3... More
