A friend recommended that we visited Enoteca del duca and we had a great lunch ...knowledgable waiter recommended the wine which was excellent ...the food was first class. Hope to visit again, this time for dinner :-)

What a gorgeous place! We had a lovely dinner here in the garden. Some took the vegetarian set menu which was very good, everything from the al a carte was beautiful and the steak was insane. The minimum is 1-1.2kg so it was enough for two to share. The staff were very nice and I would recommend this to everyone.

A great day learning to cook the Tuscan way, we booked a cooking class for 4 with Claudia. The daughter of the Family run restaurant. We went straight into the working kitchen and were welcomed by all staff , a starter of smoked ricotta ravioli, vegetable tart followed by stuffed guinea fowl stuffed with Italian sausage, wrapped in prosciutto. The lesson... More

We loved this place so much the first time (try the stakes) that we had to return for more (try the truffle pasta). They make their own wine (the Merlot is delicious) and you can visit their vineyard and taste their wines too (which we did). Fantastic example of a family business that cares about the local product and the... More

On a very hot day in their very pleasant walled garden we enjoyed a fine Italian lunch, from their lunch time specials menu. Served by charming English speaking local waiters, at a perfectly acceptable price.

Family owned restaurant serving products of their farm (including their own wine) cooked divinely by the chef, mother of the family and extremely friendly. Pasta are freshly made and you can tell! Service was great and the waitress (the daughter!) was passionate about her region and its local products. If you are looking for a great dinner, do not look... More

We had a fabulous meal at Ristorante Del Duca. We ordered the tasting menu, which included 5 courses of wonderful food. The antipasta plate featured 9 different tastes, including foie gras, pheasant terrine, house-made salumi and much more. The highlight was the smoked ricotta ravioli, with saffron lemon sauce and poppy seeds....really incredible. The beef was perfectly cooked medallions with... More

The Best dining experience in Volterra! Top of the line food and attentive waiters. Run by a local family who make everything from scratch. Beautiful interior and kind staff. Don't miss this place!

Stopped in to have a glass of wine. Asked to be seated in the garden which we were. However when we stated again that we only wanted wine (they had brought bread), the waiter was then very rude with us and said we had to go inside. The table next to us also had a bad experience and we saw... More

We searched this restaurant out after reading reviews of how reasonably priced and delicious the food was, the promise of a quaint canteen area was also appealing. We were pleasantly received by an older gentleman upon entrance but any feeling of good will was quickly evaporated when we were handed to the waiting staff. My wife was struggling to make... More
