The best tiramisu I have ever eaten! The panna cotta was also great. Good service and good wine recommendations as well!

It was a rainy day in Volterra and we had a Rick Steves in hand which brought us here for lunch. Not only did it give us a respite from the rain (such a cozy interior!) but also one of the best meals we've had in Italy. The wild boar is worth a try and so is the steak with... More

Nice terras outside, simple antipasti [much better found in the region], very good primi and secondi. Must do : Panna Cotta caramello. Staff very very friendly and supportive taking care of my fish to undo the spina's :)

We have been there several times over the years and it's always been excellent. Try the Spaghetti al Chianti, absolutely fabulous. Get to know the owner, Massimo, he is a true Italian Gentleman and knows how to run a delicious restaurant.

We were sweating bullets over the lack of non-tourist-mill restaurants in Voltera, but we took a second look at this comparatively plain cafe and decided to give it a try and we were glad that we did. Besides having a very friendly staff, the setting was simple and quiet which was a great environment to recharge our batteries after a... More

And whenever in Voltera, there is ONE place to go for eating : l'Ombra della Sera ! We have known Massimo and Cinzia, the owners, for more than 25 years ! They... More

We dined here as a large group of 16 in a nice private cellar style room at the rear, the restaurant was recommended to us by a local and suited our needs. The service for a large group was fairly good and there was a good menu choice with reasonably priced wines, on the whole the food was good but... More

Lovely food, quick service and a nice cool position outside when the rest of the town was roasting hot! Kids ate the whole lot!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local resident and I must say I was extremely disappointed. The starters were fine but when it came to the main courses they really let themselves down. Their gnocchi was absolutely tasteless and when the waitress was informed of this she wasn't at all interested. My son ordered a steak with a... More

Had two very enjoyable meals here - very friendly and attentive service, good choice on menu, portions not huge but sufficient.
