Nice and cozy place with true Italian atmosphere. No nonsense, honestly, good food and a nice and helpful service. Definitely worth a visit.... PS. Their wild boar(cinghiale) is excellent

We had a wonderful lunch with prompt polite service. I had the classic Tuscan White Beans for the first time and it was a revelation. Large affordable portions and the kids really enjoyed the pizza.

Good service, the waiter (sorry can't remember his name) was fast and friendly. Portions are huge, we regretted ordering some appetisers as we couldn't finish the main courses (tegamaccio and the wild board with polenta). Good experience. There is a table inside an ancient water well which can make your experience even more memorable! Geppo is a lovely host.

We had agreed to meet at La Pace on the recommendation of a local writer, we arrived in the hilltop town in the middle of a blustery and stormy afternoon and were happy to find refuge at La Pace. The decor was charming old world and the service friendly. We ordered a few dishes and the plate servings were enormous!... More

The odors from the osteria came wafting up the hill to us, beckoning us toward the outdoor tables where the first noon diners sat. We elected to eat inside and found near us a wall that was of Etruscan construction up to a point where the sign signaled a more organized assemblage of stones that were said to be of... More

We really enjoyed our dinner. We were fortunate to be there at a time when there were only a few other tables full and had a very nice waiter. What we ordered wasn't fancy, but was very tasty with a home-cooked, rustic feeling to it. We stayed in Volterra for four nights and this was the best restaurant we ate... More

Great food and very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We really appreciated the care and attention we received. The wild boar ragout was very fresh and chunky, in an excellent sauce. Even our leftovers were packed up for us with care and attention to presentation. We highly recommend eating here.
