We went in after seeing they had a large selection of pasta on the menu, and we wanted a hassle free dinner with the kids. The kids had Spaghetti Bolognese and we tried the cheese with nuts and honey for starter, and Spaghetti with garlic, oil and chili, and Penne all arrabbiata. However it was served as Spaghetti all arrabbiata...... More

Downstairs has some atmosphere, but upstairs feels a bit like a cafe. Definately not a place to go for a romantic dinner, the radio was on so loud that it was like eating in a waiting room. Never understand restuarants who play awful music loud to try and create an atmosphere, as opposed to let their dinner have conversations. Lighting... More

We have been here for a business dinner. While the served food was standard quality, (not bad, not good) the service was really hastened and quite rude and, worse of all, the quantities were ridiculous. Receiving literally a tasting of pappardelle al cinghiale and 2 (two, counted) pieces of tagliata was actually insulting. Avoid. Plenty of places to eat in... More

We had a dinner there. Restaurant smells bad. The food was served cold, service forgot bring wine but wanted 20% service charge on the bill, and included wine we never had. As I raised this issue they were really unfriendly. So at the end we got charged 75 eur for a really really bad kitchen. This is probably the worse place... More

In the heard of volterra. The pizzeria has 3 tables outside. Pizza is made by the electric ofen. So when you have a bit of idea about pizza you dont take it better. I mean was ok for the kids but is a medium average. Rest of the food is good, fresh and tasty. Price is fantastic. For all this-... More

We were patient and polite, but the service really managed to irritate us. The food is not even worth the rudeness. Choose wisely, there's loads of places in Volterra.

We went here for a light supper one evening. It was a good meal overall, nothing massively amazing, but we weren't expecting that -- just wanted something quick and simple. Took them a while to get round to serving us, but they did have a massive party in downstairs who were commanding a lot of attention! They have no English-language... More

During our holiday we have been in many restaurants. We went here for lunch. The staff and service are dreadful and cranky. The food was disgusting. My dog would not even eaten the food..... Worst place I have been in a long time.

Really enjoyed the 4 top table outside. Good pizza and the Volterra .5L red wine for €6 wasn't half bad. Certainly went well with the Bufala pizza. Liked this place much more than the options in Piazze del Priori.

Mid week evening visit. Full when we arrived but almost empty by the time we left. There was no welcome as such, in fact we watched two couples leave before they got any attention. Good selection on the menu and the food was good but nothing really special. Wild boar was tender but had no wow factor. The risotto was... More
