The appetizer platter is a must! Filled with fried pizza, local cheese and cold cuts, it was a great start to a phenomenal dining experience. We had the pasta as well as the chicken stuffed with olives, sausages and potatoes, which was tender and moist. Glad we still found room for the desserts - they were divine! Great service and... Our first restaurant in Viterbo was a pleasant surprise. The cuisine at Vecchio Orologio is based on Viterbo traditions, as is appropriate for a Slow Food restaurant, but modern and stylish in its approach. Our lombrichelli with cream of peas and a ragu of susianella (a Viterbo sausage) were refreshing and interesting. The tagliata di scamone di agnello (lamb rump... More

We had dinner here on our first night in Viterbo. Paolo is an excellent host, the wait staff are very knowledgable and the food and wine were excellent, and didn't break the budget. As a member id the Slow Food movement, I was conpletely satisfied and very, very happy.

We booked to eat here from Canada and on arrival were greeted by the owner, who introduced himself and acknowledged he had replied to my prior email. The menu had changed a bit from what we had seen online, but he offered to make us some -off menu items. A pasta carbonara was superb. Then he servedme a slow fried... More

Being in the area I thought I know all good restaurants. But it was by a business partner from Rome who told me to visit this good restaurant. Close to Piazza d'Erbe in the old town of Viterbo a cosy restaurant. Fortunately I did reservation, even its not that small. The owner himself takes care of the service, the menue... More

A lovely venue, mixed with excellent food and great atmosphere makes this place a must-see in Viterbo. There is also a wide selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes whith ingredients of undoubtly top quality. The slow food menu is not expensive at all, if you consider everything is homemade and locally grown/produced. To me this restaurant deserves all the Michelin stars decorating... More

This restaurant has really good food and wonderful local wines. I have had pizza twice and meat once. The chicken wasn't great but steaks were very good. The mixed antipasto is wonderful - I really enjoyed the pizza. This is a 'slow food' restaurant and everything is local - the main wine on the tables are 15 euro but well... More

Part of the 'slow food' movement this is an excellent restaurant with wonderfully welcoming staff. Food is very reasonable (pizza and pasta around 10euros), wine is excellent and all sourced locally.

My second pizza in Viterbo suffered greatly in contrast with my first...why? The crust was tough as leather, the toppings tasted as stale as the crust. It was an effort to eat, even with sharp knife and fork. Nothing tasty about this, it was ugly to see, had an odd odor and tasted like it was made by someone who... More

Description
Pane, paste e dolci fatti in casa
