Looks stunning, but tasteless food, slow service, i cannot believe that a cook like this can hold a business open...never again.

After a long wait, I finally got the piece of veal I had ordered: tough, with lots of fibrous strands that made it an ordeal to cut. 15 minutes later, French fried finally arrived (after I was finished with my piece of rubber), but nothing yet for my wife. First time in a restaurant when I was finished before she... More

We were famished and looking for a place to eat before 7:00. Locanda La Macina looked nice with fun outdoor seating and what appeared to be a good menu. The food (bruschetta, salciccia, pepperini, and other items were ho hum at best. There are many other better restaurants in Vieste that one should try!

I am surprised at other ratings for this restaurant. We found it by accident just seeking to get out of the rain and the seven of us had simple lunch that was well cooked plus some very palatable wine. Most of us had the seafood risotto, which was a generous sized portion with plenty of prawns, clams, mussels and fish.... More

Very disappointing restaurant, this is the 1st negative review I write on TA !!! We wanted to go eat at another restaurant, very nearby this restaurant that I found on TA and was listed in top 10. It was fully booked and we could only get a table very late. Considering that we have a 9 year old daughter and... More

After a 45-minute wait, our first course arrived one plate at a time, at 5- min intervals (we were three); everyone's pasta was overcooked, bland, and had practically no sauce or condiment. The Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe were swimming in 2 cm of salted cooking water, with a greyish lump of disintegrating vegetables on top. What an insult to the... More

Restaurant with nice atmosphere in staircase alley next to Duomo. As apetizer we ordered tomatosallad and aperizer de chef, both eatable. Main course were lamb chops, gahh.....not acceptable. Small various pieces of re-grilled lamb. No lamp chops. Terrible! Housewine, young and homemade and rough.

Typical local restaurant with good service good food and value priced. Grilled branzini was very good and the veal cutlet Milanese was tender. Very fresh food!

This restaurant is opposite the Duomo in Vieste. We were attracted by the smell of fish on a charcoal grill as we passed and came back specially later. We confused them by going into the bar on the main street rather than the restaurant and they did not speak English but they served us nevertheless. When the food arrived it... More
