ok- a 2* michelin restaurant, but even they cant make an oyster palitable. The food was superb, go for the set fish taster menu- 7 courses of yum. staff, a bit pretentious ( maitre,d and somellier) but the waiting staff were courtious and when they realised we were not too formal , relaxed and explained the food with humour- they... This was the best meal we have ever had in Italy. It's not cheap but it never is in a two Michelin star restaurant. The food was excellent- innovative- full of flavour - including Tuscan Sushi - beef carpaccio - see photo. The location is pretty cool - on the roof top of the hotel by the pool.

After a long day's trip in the marble mountains and driving along the Ligurian coast, we found this elegant restaurant, and without knowing that Il Piccolo Principe has two Michelin stars, we came there for an ordinary family dinner which turned out to be an extraordinary experience. All of our a la carte dishes were delicious, and we also got... More

This was our first evening at the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte and we decided to try this roof top restaurant before our daughter and family arrived the next day looking for genuine pizzas. After a glass or two of good Prosecco, we opted for the "Degustazione dal Mare" which with the amuse bouche, the chef's treat of fresh oyster... More

Wow what food but not cheap. Had the five course menu with wine. Turned into more like eight. Don't know who could manage the ten course menu. I have eaten in five of the worlds top rated restaurants this was as good as any. The place the staff all excellent but above all the food. Try and find the money... More

Whilst visiting Italy on our romantic eataly experience we ate some fantastic food. This was by far the best meal of our holiday but then you would expect that! The food was stunning and service excellent. The restaurant was quiet as it was a Sunday evening but we still had a great time! The only issue I did have was... More

One of the few 2 starred Michelin restaurant at this part of Italy. With my wife and a friend, 3 of us had a dinner. We tried meat tasting menu. Out of the dishes offered we liked only 3 or 4 of them. The others were a little to fill the menu. I would say Michelin officials were a little... More

I stayed in The Piemonte and ate at Il Piccolo during my stay. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and there was a noticeable increase in the level of (already good) service between Regina (Breakfast) and Piccolo. The food was very very good, as you would expect from 2 Michelin Stars and I received some nice surprises which made... More
