My partner and I visited this place after reading the great reviews on trip advisor. It was nice, but it was not really anything exceptional and the serving of wine we got was like a thimble. Also it was like sitting in a cafe with rather uncomfortable chairs and not much ambiance.

Came accross the accidently and took some super wine, cheeses and breads back to the B&B yesterday. Booked a table for lunch today and were more than pleased with our choice. The food, wine and staff were wonderful. So nice to see people enjoying their work and making the extra effort to see that the customers enjoy a visit to... More

We found this cafe when we bought some cheese and wine to have in our B&B. People were very friendly and food looked so good we booked a table for lunch next day. It did not disappoint. We had a fantastic lunch of platters of meats and cheese, breads and nice wine. Then topped off with fantastic tiramisu. So good.... More

La Casera is located on the main Piazza in Verbena. Once you get into the Restaurant/Show you will fall in love immediately. A BIG choice of cheese, hams, salami, breads,.....the list goes on and on! You can choose from the menu or go to the counter and let your eyes decide what you will eat. If you are lucky you... More

Simply one of the highlights of our Italian road trip. We got the ferry to Intra from Laveno (sleepy) and arrived to gloomy skies. We stumbled across La Casera as one of the first places from the port and as it was before lunch we decided to wander and pop back. As the heavens opened a short while later we... More

On it's way from the hidden jewel to the In-place all the charme has gone. Very busy noisy , it's like on the railway station. All business
