Simply one of the highlights of our Italian road trip. We got the ferry to Intra from Laveno (sleepy) and arrived to gloomy skies. We stumbled across La Casera as one of the first places from the port and as it was before lunch we decided to wander and pop back. As the heavens opened a short while later we... More

We arrived for a quick bite but ended up having dinner. We ordered from a fantastic choice of cold meats and cheeses and some great wines. The service staff were very helpful and friendly, what unfortunately couldn't be said from the guy behind the counter. Or maybe he just has a bad day? Be it as it be La Casera... More

Great little delicatessen which sells a wide range of cheeses, meats and wine. They also have tables available indoors and outside in the main piazza. They serve many different tasting platters and have a great wine selection. Brilliant place for a light lunch. There menus are only in Italian, but the staff were helpful and could speak some English.

Prosciutto, cheese, melon and wine - who needs anything else? This is a deli/restaurant with a huge selection of cheeses (don't miss the Fiori di Maggio).
