We had the pasta with the red onions here and it was excellent. We had the swordfish specialty of the area which is wrapped in parma and baked with potatoes and it tasted frozen. Maybe if swordfish isn't fresh, this isn't a great dish? My husband had a special fish (which we can't remember the name of) and it was... More

We were looking for something with a focus on local specialties and we found the restautant Da Cecè... just a few minutes walk from the tourist trap area. Food was fresh and and very delicious. Service (Marianna) was way above the standard you would expect.

Tropea is famous for their onions so we had a dish of pasta with onions. Well, I never knew onions and pasta can taste so good. This was our best meal in Italy on our 3 week vacation. My only complaint is that they didn't give us enough.

The location of the restaurant is beautiful, within the alleys of old Tropea, quiet and relaxing. The service was prompt, although the food came in at a slowly pace (which anyway matched beautifully with the nature of the surroundings). On the whole, the food was nothing more than average. The first dish was “paccheri” pasta (wide, short, flat pipe-like pasta)... More

One of Tropea's best. Rich menu. Local cuisine with fresh ingredients. Nicola is an excellent host and full of good humor and nice suggestions.

We really enjoyed our lunch and whole experience, at Da Cece restaurant in Tropea. Set in an atmospheric square, away from the busy tourist sections of the old town, it is a quiet haven, to relax in and enjoy, your dining experience. This is such an authentic Calabrian restaurant and the service and food is excellent.

One of the three best in Tropea. Lovely location in a square not far from the top of the steps. Service attentive. Food interesting and good for Tropea (where in the tourist dives one can eat very poorly). A bit over-priced and portions are not gigantic.
