Fine dining at the top of the mountain with a view over the harbour and Sestri Levante. The amuse of oysters was splendid. We were there with 3 persons and tried several dishes. Especially the fish was delicious. We recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Housed in a separate building to the hotel this restaurant offers an unrivalled view over the Bay. The ambience, pricing and style of cooking and service is very much 'Michelin Star' but the cooking, in my opinion (and presumably Michelin's as it doesn't have a...star), is not quite at that level yet. It is however very competent and professional and you will undoubtedly have an excellent meal and pleasant experience here.More

We knew this was supposed to be a special dinner so decided to throw caution to the wind and forget the plummeting pound. After all, you only live once. The restaurant can be accessed by car but as we were staying nearby we decided to...walk. Thank goodness we had been told about the lift from the shoreline or the walk up the hill to one of the most amazing and beautiful views would have killed us. We arrived early and had cocktails on the small terrace where there seems to be a resident seagull waiting to share the aperitifes. I ordered something that came with ice cubes in it and the barman explained I needed to wait for the ice to melt as it was actually a frozen alcohol cube that was intrinsic to the drink. Neat. We went into dinner at 8.30 (the restaurant doesn't open until 8) just in time to watch the sun sink below the hills opposite. Built out on the hill the views are magnificent. My wife is gluten free and allergic to onion and garlic so they made her something special for each course. They also baked her a gluten free roll, slightly overdone. I started with home made linguini and octopus and had a steak for main course. Dessert was really clever individual creme brulee (there were 5 but i ate one before taking the photo) with the cream inside each one. The waiter told me to eat them without cutting and the flavours were impressive. The wine waiter was really helpful and recommended a lovely local wine but after the cocktails and our day out we only got half way through the bottle. All the staff speak good English and couldn't do enough to make our dinner perfect, even as far as swapping my wife's serviette 4 times after she kept dropping it on the floor ! If you are prepared to splash out for a slightly old fashioned but traditional style Michelin dinner then give this place a try. Dinner for 2 with cocktails and wine - €158More

Had a fabulous evening here. From entering the lift through a cave like corridor at street level to being seated with a marvellous view over the Bay everything was perfect. Welcoming staff who talked us through the menu choices to the presentation of the dishes....Surroundings are lovely which really added to the evening. Partner had a pasta to start and I had a spaghetti recommended. Mains of lobster and fish all good. For the location and ambience I suggest you try.More

Was far better two years ago when managed by the Polpo Mario restaurant. Staff could be far better, the crudo di mare is a copy of what is served in Portobello, and the fish small and dry. Atmosphere and view the best in Sestri.

I was lucky enough to get married at the castelli and the reception was organised by the resturant. Putting aside the happy occasion for balanced review I have to say this place can't be beat! I ate here several times during my stay and food...was never short of perfect. Fresh ,well prepared classics and moden spins all in one. The staff are professional and really know their stuff. The wines and the knowledge of them could make a grown man cry. It is an experience that is worth every penny and I can not wait to go back.More

Recently visited whilst on vacation in sestri levantre, Looked impressive from the promenade as you entered the cave entrance to the lift. Must say at this point..not very well signed to the restaurant but managed to find after asking. Had the 5 course chefs own...choice which I must say was most enjoyable all fish dishes mind but cooked or not to perfection, will return when next in italy with friends to enjoy more dishes.More

This is the restaurant for hotel deli Castilli which you take an elevator to get to from the street side or you can walk along the bay of Silence up to the top of a hill where it is located. You do pass the ruins...of a Church that was bombed in WWII which makes for an interesting walk back. We were celebrating my retirement so the staff knew it was a special occasion. This is one of the fancier restaurants in the city with waiters in tux and white table clothes. They don’t have a dress code as we saw a few folks in jeans but dress nice to respect the effort that has been made at the ambiance. U need reservations as it is a spectacular sunset since you are on a hill overlooking the Italian Riveria and Sestri Levante. Allow enough time to visit the hotel and walk the grounds. There was a wedding reception same time we were there but it was well situated as to not create any disturbance and quite frankly, a great place for a destination wedding if u are looking! It is warm ( for us Americans) as it it an open air patio.More
