Lots of wonderful dishes, including Spaghetti all’Inferno, and great service. Good for late night bites. Only area for improvements are the side-dishes to the fish, steam potato is not enoguh

Love for food Love for people Not the cheapest of places but realy good. Fresh ingredients and true chefs at work!
I got into town late and this restaurant happily gave me a table for dinner at 11:20 pm (while other nearby restaurants turned me away even though they were supposedly open until 12). I very much appreciated the kind service and allowing me to have...dinner even though it was close to closing time. The food was very good and reasonably priced... i ordered spaghetti with clams which was very fresh and cooked perfectly. This and a bottle of vermentino to go with it came to 32 euro. Very fair prices, great meal, and friendly service. Grazie!More
A spur of the moment visit to beautiful Sestri Levante. We wanted to try real Ligurian dishes and i chose polpo Mario purely on the reviews in TA. The menu looks really interesting. So many different dishes to try. In the end we chose 4...different pasta dishes and the grilled octopus. There recommended dishes was the grilled octopus and the polpo ragu spaghetti. Grilled octopus was good, but the sauce was a simple sweet chili sauce we get at Chinese store was disappointing. The polpo ragu was a white sauced pasta and instead of ground beef it used ground octopus. Quite unique taste but not as flavorful as expected. Tbh can’t beat the traditional beef ragu. We ordered a shrimp based pasta and pasta a la vongole. Both good but nothing special. The best dish was actually the spaghetti carbonara using tuna instead of bacon. Very tasty and you can taste the difference. Land to sea. Portions was quite large, but it was not cheap at all average pasta is 15€. Very expensive in Italy and they also charge 3€ per person cover charge. Definitely not cheap. Dish I wanted to try was the pesto pasta with long beans and potato. Cheapest at 10€ and ordered by a ot of people. So good but not great. Still if you never tried the polpo pasta...a must try.More
You need go no further than this. Excellent food, excellent (and affordable) wine, a lovely interior and very nice staff. I've been here a few times and haven't found anywhere better in Sestri.
Nice restaurant in the centre of the old town. We tried the various dishes of the day which had fresh fish and octopus and were extremely happy with our choices. The service was efficient and friendly. We ate inside as there were no tables available...outside and it was very pleasant as the structure of the building keeps the dining room cool. Would definitely go back.More
My choice for lunch (interior) and for rainy evenings. Food straight without chichi, and the director Gianna and the chef ready to make specials. In the Centre unbeatable.
On first impression, the restaurant appeared to be Olde world Italy, but the food and staff were right up to date. Lovely girl practised her English with us and main waiter adjusted menu to suit our tastes. Nothing was too much trouble and food was...excellent. Extensive wine list and free Limoncino to finish off the evening.More
It's a very popular restaurant in Sestri L. for a reason! Fish is really fresh, they respect the ingredients keeping it simple and delicious! Service is kind and efficient! We loved it
A splendid restaurant in the heart of the old town. Warm and welcoming proprietor and staff. Great sea food and outstanding pasta courses. Well worth a visit or two.
