My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at this excellent restaurant that serves high quality local cuisine including wonderful meat dishes (e.g, veal fillet perfectly cooked with porcini mushrooms and roast potatoes) and rich fruity desserts. It’s not complicated food but they do execute...simple tasty dishes really well.More

We suffered poor quality food (dry pork knucle) and were sat in a very cold atmosphere. It is a typical hotel restaurant that works well for people staying there who are too tired to get out. We were sat in a coldly decorated room next...to the noisy children's playroom. Were it not for the warmth of the young lady, Kautar, who served us, this would have been an intolerable place. Not one for Italian warmth.More

It's an 8 minute walk from the main street to this eatery and hotel which was recommended to us by some local residents. The walk is worth it as the hospitality was warm and genuine and the food matched the service. It's worth booking in...advance as it gets popular. Meals selected were: Pork and Apple Risotto - super tasty but may be a bit small for big eaters Venison cutlets - fantastic! Served with potato rosti and some steamed veg Pork Loin - served in a hot pan with rosti and veg Veal Schnitzel - served with fries Pappardelle with venison ragu - another favourite! Steak - perfectly cooked and served with potatoes Desserts: Tiramisiu was a favourite White and Dark Choc mousse was good but four balls was a lot and needed something to cut through the richness. Choc Souffle is essentially a fondant cooked to perfection! Best choc fondant (lava cake to some) we've had. It's our favourite reataurant in SelvaMore

A beat soup, salmon and Sacher Torte for me this evening. The food was good, and the service was excellent too. But it is a hotel restaurant and the atmosphere isn't like in other good restaurants in Val Gardena.

This is a firm, family favourite of ours when we are skiing in Selva. Usually for the first and last evenings (as it's close to where we like to stay). The food is always delicious, fresh and served with a smile. Great pasta, schnitzel and...my husband's fav are the lamb cutlets. Interesting dining rooms (if booking, ask to be seated in the animal room!)...would highly recommend and look forward to returning year after year!More

You can get a table in the hotel restaurant or in the cosy "Tiroler Stube" (which we preferred). We got a delicious fish course. We will be back.

Access to this restaurant is after the tunnel from Dancenterpices or Alaska Hotel - leave your skis on the piste and cross the street. The restaurant is part of a 3 star hotel, and is very popular with ski instructors due to the high quality...of food and low prices. The menu is tipical south tyrolian with some extra pasta dishes. Our favourite was the polenta trio, beautifully presented and very tasty. Service is five star all the way until you leave. Highly recommended.More

We had a good meal (polenta, gnocchi, a meat dish, etc) at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful and the menu had a good selection. Just up the hill from the main street on Dantercepies.

We were staying across the street and popped in for dinner as it seemed convenient, expecting just another hotel restaurant. Our convenient dinner turned into a fabulous experience, with great food, atmosphere and service. We let the staff recommend both food and wine and ended...up with excellent local products and lovingly prepared food of amazing quality. On both occasions – we had to go back!More

Went without any previous research or recommendation and we were completely surprised in every possible way. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere and decor were superb. Can not fault it and would not want to. If you are considering it, then go.

4 of us enjoyed a delicious meal at Scoiattolo, which was recommended by our B and B in Val Gardinia. Only felt the meal was a bit rushed. We were not in any hurry and just enjoying our salads when the main courses arrived. The...waiter was friendly, but only showed up at the end to see if we enjoyed our empty plates.More
