In opinion this is great place for aperitivo. I had a dinner there once and it was also fine. The grestest thing is the location, especially when you stay outside and sit basically in the middle of Piazza San Prospero, enjoying the atmoshpere of Reggio.

Our group of 5 people were waiting for the order one hour and a half! Instead of veal cutlet I have got the pork one. The rabbit died by himself in the lees of life. The see bass swam in strange sauce. The waiter dropped dirty dishes on the boy. And finally that WASN'T CHEAP. Awful! The restaurant has one... More

Five of us ate in the square by the duomo late at night ... five of us rated the food and atmosphere first class. tonight we're going elsewhere. if Prospero is ranked a middle runner in the restaurant stakes we're in for a memorable dining experience

The scallop was lovely and extremely well done. Ambience was fantastic and they were patient enough to translate everything on the menu to english. 10/ 10 will visit them again. We had champagne that was recomended by them and it was really sweet. If only someone could remind me again the name of that champagne! Please remember to make a... More

We arrived on a Sunday and most restaurants were shut. We ate well, but the atmosphere is clinically trendy, with bad lighting and uncomfortable chairs. Acoustics were bad and the restaurant was empty. Reggio nell Emilio is a friendly and elegant working town that does not depend on tourism to live. Hence the atmosphere is alive, although the service in... More

we had an aperitivo, it was nice but nothing to write home about. the food choice was limited , and the atmosphere in the back rooms quite anonymous . we had been looking for a place for a glass when walking in the center of reggio ,and this was the best we could find . nice but without a buzz

We had two very good meals in this restaurant. The staff were very efficient and the food was great. Highly recommended.

My wife and I ate lunch at Prospero as part of a conference group, so somebody else had already arranged things for us. Since we eat low-carbohydrate, our organiser called ahead to ask whether we could choose a low-carb item from the menu instead of their standard fixed-price lunch of 20€. The owner (I presume) happily obliged us. Once we... More

I have been in this restaurant a few times already and always in summer. A dinner at Prospero's needs some forward planning, since a good portion of your pleasure is dining outside in the Piazza San Prospero, a charming downtown square overlooked by the San Prospero church. So weather forecast check ahead of booking is essential. I could not resist... More
