If you want to eat true home cooked Emilian food this is the place for you. The restaurant is warm and inviting in winter and their pasta delicious. For the meat eaters there is the roadt meat trolley and the boiled meat trolley. Probably need to book at weekends, it is popular with families st lunch Sunday

Canossa was recommended to us at our Air B and B. It did not disappoint. We were able to park in the lot across the street from the ristorante. We were a bit early for dinner ( they did not open until 7:30) so we waited a few minutes before heading in. At first the ristorante was fairly empty, but... More

This restaurants confirm the logic of: "never change a winning horse".......and it feels like they ve been running gloriously for decades!! Great local and tradional food......if you love the simple and well prepared stuff. Dont miss out the "bolliti" trolley, from which you can choose your selection for 13EUR a plate. The sauces along with it are delicious.....especially the mostarda.... More

My friend Luca wanted to take me to a regional food restaurant, and also, being a little late, we needed a place that wouldn't close early. The capeletti al brodo was wonderful, just like I remember from la Nonna. The meats were tender and juicy. Service was wonderful. I would definitely go back+

I have been coming here for years. When you walk in you think you have gone back in time to the sixties or very early 70es. Here they don't change menu . You come here because you want the local stuff and the best of it. So every bite is a "mmmmhhh" of pleasure. Starting from the mortadella and ciccioli,... More

This restaurant is step back in time. Old fashioned home made traditional food from Reggio Emilia. There is a roasted meat trolley that is fantastic and their tortellini in brodo is excellent. Good good good value. The waiters look like they were here when the place first opened.

If you are in Reggio Emilia and you want to taste real home Made food of the local tradition , ristorante Canossa is a must. Tortelli , lasagne, tagliatelle are made following the old recipes of aunties and grandmothers. The roasted meat is delicious and the "bolliti" are gorgeous . Even if you have had enough don' t go without... More

If you happen to be at Reggia Emilia you can't miss this place. It isn't fancy at all..! Who cares!! The food is great! Starting with the antipasti de Formaggio & Prossciutto...! (Ham and cheese) and following with then spinach ravioli with butter and Grated Parmigiano Reggiano. Unforgettable!!!

You can't go wrong eating in this restaurant, the food is made all fresh. Great choice of pasta, meat and veggie. Very good price for quality. I went twice in a week....
