5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

It is hard to add anything new to the reviews already on the site. Within 2 days of our holiday in Praiano we had been recommended Vivaro's by three separate couples. Hard to ignore and we were not disappointed when we finally went. I had the seafood option and my partner the meat....I think I got the best of it!... More

This little place is an absolute must. It is a "feed me" style restaurant, where the proprietor cooks all the food, and does all the table and wine service. Booking almost essential. He cooked us a three course meal, but something different for both of us per course, so we could try each others. The food was so simple, fresh,... More

We were recommended this place by a local and were not disappointed. The owner provided us with the choice of meat of fish and every course of the meal was truly wonderful. What added to the experience was the owner's explanation of dishes and the ingredients he used. One of the best meals of our trip and a must if... More

Loved this little place. It's run entirely by the owner who amazingly cooks, serves and charms. There's no menu per se as its either meat or fish. My wife and I had one of each and both were superb, staring with pasta followed by mains and dessert. The owner gladly pairs wine and for the most part you're probably best... More

It had been five years since we stumbled upon this great little place in Praiano and it was as good if not better than I remembered it. The difference now is you need reservations most times. We made our reservation for 8 and walked in like before. We were greated by the owner and chef and waiter (all the same... More

We tried to go to Vivaro twice during our stay in Praiano, because me and my wife are both wine lovers. However, the owner (I suppose he is the owner) was extremely rude with us, almost screaming if we didn't have a reservation, we shouldn't be there. A few steps away we could find La Strada, a restaurant with a... More

We tried to eat at this seemingly cosy restaurant. We sat down at a free table, since no one seemed to care bout our arrival. When trying to talk to the staff for the menu they said arrogantly "we serve fish and meat". After sitting down for 15 minutes without no one coming to our table we tried to get... More

Our favourite meal in all of Italy. Some fellow travellers suggested we go on our last night in Priano and I'm so glad we did. Everything was sensational - it's an absolute must if you are in Priano (or anywhere on the amalfi Coast for that matter). It's a whole in the wall/ intimate small restaurant with beautiful bright flowers... More

Honestly the best meal I've ever eaten!!! Gennaro was absolutely amazing and made us feel like the only people in the restaurant when it really was quite busy! It was like going to his home for dinner - could not recommend it more highly! So reasonable and so so delicious!

This restaurant is unique. The owner seats you, speaks with you to learn your dining preferences, chooses a wine for you, then cooks you a meal based on your conversation. The atmosphere is cozy and right in the center of Praiano. Lots of fun and a delicious meal. Wonderful man with a terrific work ethic.
