I only tried pizza in La Pergola but I have to say that it is good. I had absolutely no problem with the service too. It isn’t cheap but nothing is cheap in Positano.
Pizza, calamari, salad.... all fantastic and served by delightful staff with a view of the beach. Only downside was the climb back out of the harbour!
Was such a nice calzone. The location of the restaurant and the restaurant itself it lovely but one of the waiters was rude. He was polite to me but rude to my friend... this annoyed me given I think it's because I was dressed up...and she was dressed down. I did visit looong ago so hopefully the attitude has changedMore
We were very welcome to this restaurant and was even given a mask which was appreciated. Our pizza was good and service at this point adequate. On leaving however I found the staff to be unhelpful and even ignorant. I asked where the toilet was...to be told “ follow the yellow arrows” with no other direction . I told the waiter this was not helpful and he could at least show me the way but he did not respond. I gave these directions to my wife whip then got lost ! Not impressed I fact got to the restaurant feeling good and left angry! This is not a good experience and also the first review I have ever done so I hope the arrogant waiters take heed! Too many bad reviews make for bad business !More
Great restaurant at the sea in Positano with a great choice of seafood options very reasonable priced for the location. Superb selection of wine and great service. A must!
Not sure where to begin.... Had dinner without any trauma. Sea bass was good, but nothing special, and rib eye steak was ok. Overall average. The following late afternoon we called in for a drink. Local beer (Amalfi) and Prosecco was excellent. However, a couple...arrived at the next table with a dog. The owners gave it a drink from their own drinks bottle, which was pretty disgusting, but the dog then proceeded to vomit 3 times, one of which was closer to our table rather than the owners. Unbelievably neither the dog owners nor the restaurant owners took any action. The owners then asked for the bill and attempted to leave with the dog vomit still all over the floor. Needless to say, I called the manager over, pointed out the error of both the dog owners and the staff and the vomit was mopped up. Dogs should not be allowed in restaurants, and their owners in these situations should be fined and banned. Upon challenging the manager he said he could not say anything to the dog owners for fear of getting rude comments on TripAdvisor. Well, trust me, I would never post a rude comment, but the management need to get to grips with basic hygiene in a Covid pandemic and deal with customers who show no respect to the restaurant or other customers. Hard to understand why dog owners would not take any action with 3 pools of vomit on the floor. Even more bizarre is that the management seemed to shrug their shoulders. Probably the worst restaurant experience EVER in all my travels, of over 1000 reviews. Shame on you Pergola. Unbelievable. Avoid this place like the plague.More
We dined here at lunch, ordered a hamburger and a pizza and 2 drinks - 55 euros. The hamburger and chips was like something you would expect for £4 from a cafe in the UK and the pizza was watery (the tomato base was too...runny). Rip-off central. Walk further down to Chez Black; you will not be disappointed.More
We were seated quite quickly, but it seemed to take ages for our drinks to arrive. Whilst checking the menus out we looked around at some other diners dishes & the food looked ok but not what was being quoted in value on the menu....Either the owner or manager was standing outside with a colleague seemingly taking the piss out of us, being English along with some other diners that weren't noticing as much as we noted it, as one of the friends with us spoke Italian. It all left a rather sour flavor once the drinks did arrive. We drank them paid the bill & went somewhere where we were welcomed with warmth & smiles.More
Surrounded by beauty and wonderful food. It’s hard to beat the scenery and the food. Everything was delicious, portions were nice and pricing was well worth it. Staff had wonderful personality and was very helpful.
