We always looked for a daily gelato fix. We were done on the beach and saw this place. I did a quick search for best gelato in Positano and this name came up first. It was excellent and they also had shaded seating.

Average quality food, with slightly inflated 'tourist' prices. The service was nothing to write home about, but it was miles ahead of what you will expect from some of their beach front neighbours.

We didn't realize that restaurants don't open until 1pm in Positano except for La Pergola. Reviews seemed decent so we gave it a try, what a horrible mistake! I LOVE spaghetti al vongole but this is by far the worst I have had. The clams were so fishy, clearly not fresh. I had a bad clam that made me actually... More

We were a party of three looking for a lunch spot. Places here do not open until 12:30pm for, lunch. This was open for, drinks and snacks. We sat down around 12:10 and ordered a bottle of local red wine and it was good. We started with Calamari Fritti served with a delicious tomato sauce. It was lightly battered and fried. While... We went to have appetizers and asked if this was possible as it was late in the day. The hostess told the waiter we inquired about having apps and my wife and I wondered why he laughed. We were seated and then not acknowledged for another 20 minutes. There was only one other couple on the terrace and we watched... More

We ate here for lunch on our last day in Positano. I wish we ate there on our first day because we would have eaten there daily. The service was amazing as was the food and presentation. It was fresh and cooked to perfection, the wine was good as well. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the... More

We came here at the recommendation of our tour guide, and it was the best food we've had in Italy! The appetizers in particular were amazing. My husband and I had incredibly fresh and juicy mussels, unforgettably good fresh mozzarella, and mozzarella fried in bread that made you need to pause and bask in its glory. I have to admit... We dined at La Pergola our first night in Positano. We were "hangry" and wanted something simple and Italian, but not pasta, so PIZZA of course. This is probably the best pizza I've had (sorry Tres Sorelle, but you're a close second). Our waiter was friendly and put up with our sad Italian 01 efforts. The prosecco was cold and... More

It was off-season, which was perfect. Not so many people, warm in the sunshine and cool in the shade. The beach was nearly clear of tourists and a painter was making a painting while looking at the sea. Only three other tables were occupied which made for a romantic scene. The beach is steps away. Was the pizza really the... More

Arriving in Positano with wife and daughter we thought this restaurant in the heart of the beach area must be a tourist trap. But we sat down for a cold drink and ended up staying to eat ... and what a delight. The cheerful staff, super efficient service backed up good food, well presented and just very good value.
