Visited one evening whilst in positano and have to say I was not impressed, we had a front row table as had booked early so should have been set for a great night but I just thought it lacked in every way. It felt inauthentic,...the food was average( Probably my most forgettable meal in Italy) and it was overpriced, you are paying for the Instagram photo here and nothing else. Don't believe the hype, save your money as there are plenty better places to dine in positanto.More

Right on the beach front, the venue itself is really well presented with a lovely view. Considering it was October and corona times, it was busy enough for it to have a good vibe without it being too packed either. The staff were very attentive...and friendly. As soon as we ordered some drinks we received a free plate of bruschetta which was delicious. My partner ordered a pizza and I had the meatballs and pasta. Both were really delicious and we finished the whole thing. The tiramisu was also very delicious. They have quite an extensive menu so something for everyone. It's not necessarily the cheapest but no restaurant in Positano is and for the price, I thought the quantity and quality was worth it. Would definitely return here.More

Beachside position, friendly service, delicious food and stylish surroundings. Had a really enjoyable lunch. The free cannoli was a really nice touch too.

Tourist class restaurant on the beach. Lovely views, great location. They serve sea food, pasta, pizzas etc. I tried one of the house specialities, the black ink linguine with sea food. A large portion. It tasted rather salty, but maybe that’s how it is suppose...to taste. My son found the Parma pizza, which came without tomato sauce, quite dull. We only ate half our meals. We paid €46 incl a bottle of water. The waiters were a little disengaged, only wearing their face masks (against covid) over their mouths, but not their noses. Woudnt revisit. Still, great location - so I give it three (rather than two) dots.More

Friendly and attentive staff, good selection of food and drinks in a fantastic, seafront location. Make sure to book if you'd like a table at the front (best seaview).

The most idyllic location for a special occasion, the blue decor and sea features really capture the settings around you. The staff couldn’t do enough for me, I’ve never received so many ‘presents from the chef’ in their words, magical little side dish treats to...compliment the superb food and wine. For anyone passing through Positano, I would make Chez Black the top of your listMore

A friend who works in travel recommended this place and we were very keen to try it. It didn’t disappoint. Great location on the beach. Great service and a fantastic leisurely lunch. Three courses plus wine and coffees €111 for two. Worth every euro.

Friendly attentive staff, good selection of food and drinks in a nice location. We were a party of four and shared pizzas and had various drinks between us, and we were all happy with everything.

Visited on a Wednesday night at the end of September. It was very quiet and the service was great. I felt it was a little pricey for what you get, the pizzas and basic pasta dishes are probably good value for money but I ordered...the prawns for main at €35 and only received 4 smallish prawns. I can imagine it’s good during the day as the location is nice and you probably pay a premium for that. Don’t go in the evening when it’s wasted!More
